“What?” I blink, my mind taking me on a ride three hours ago. I quickly shake my head. “No, I just want to keep Aeliana company and prepare for my lesson.”
“Goodnight, Noah,” Kingston says, finally pulling away from Aeliana’s face. “Take care of my wife.”
“Duh, she was my wife before she was yours,” I say with an eyeroll.
Instead of letting that comment slide, he slaps her ass and winks. We retreat to the guestroom, my room, the room Aeliana has made home for the last three nights. It's like we’re having a never-ending sleepover, one where only one of us sleeps, and the other can’t fall asleep until they shove their pillow in the Alpha’s t-shirt.
“I thought you were still gawking at Rowan,” Aeliana says, tossing herself on the bed.
“Was I?” I frown.
She nods, “Not any more than he was you.”
That fluttering feeling returns in my stomach, making me feel stupid. “I didn't notice.”
“Neither did he,” she sighs. “I just needed something else to focus on.”
“Why are you punishing Kingston?” I frown. “You’ve been here three days.”
She pops upright again, an eyebrow raised at me. “Are you kicking me out, so you can invite Rowan over?”
“I don’t need to invite him over,” I snort. “I likely still have his cum inside me from earlier.”
Aeliana gasps. “Earlier?”
“At VU,” I grumble. Rowan dropped her off from therapy this afternoon, and he passed by my office. “We had sex in my office.”
“My Noah!”
“I know, I know.” I groan, smacking myself in the head. I have no idea what I was thinking, actually, I wasn’t thinking, he asked me for a hug, and I gave him more than that, that too with my office door unlocked. “I’m trying Aeliana, I really am, but I can’t stay away from him. I don’t know what is going on with me, I know this won’t end well, but I can’t keep to myself. I want him.”
Aeliana nods, “Is this just sexual?”
“I don’t know,” I shrug. But maybe I do know, I just don’t know what to do about it. I can’t be falling for Rowan. “The sex is great, it’s a different feel, but…I don’t think that’s the only reason I can’t stay away from him. I’ve fucked better….” I trail off. “Actually I haven’t.” I groan in frustration. “They’ve been thicker or generally bigger, but he just feels different. I don’t know how to explain it.”
“Oh, goddess.” Aeliana sighs, shaking her head. “Wait, hold on!” Her eyes widen. “You had sex with him today.”
“Yes,” I nod.
“No blushing,” she warns. “And why can’t I smell him on you? I drove you home today, we’ve been together all day.”
“I took a shower when we arrived.”
She slowly shakes her head, studying me. “Still doesn’t explain why I didn’t scent you in the car, or even now, since you have his….” She pauses, “You are scent-marked.”
“You can say cum,” I laugh. “Stop being a prude.”
“I’m not, I’m just confused.”
My cheeks heat up and I clear my throat. “He taught me how to hold.”
“He hasn't touched me since he found out about that demon, I tried to explain to him how things are and how I feel, but he couldn’t do it. He is so scared of touching anything below my neck.”
I can’t help but laugh, her tone unintentionally tickles me. “It’s not funny,” she whines. “I’m so frustrated that I can’t even touch myself. I want him to touch me.”
“So then tell him,” I shrug. “He looks pretty ready to take you anywhere.”
“But he won’t actually do it,” she groans. “We tried again last night, when he arrived, I was in his room. I tried to put on a show for him, but it didn't work, he left the room as if he had walked in on his mom.” She says with an eyeroll. “I did drag him back inside, and tried to get him off which worked perfectly, he came on my hand. But then when it was time to put it in, he couldn’t do it, he went soft. I don’t know what to do anymore, we could make out all night and he still wouldn’t get it up.”
My head tilts, “The same man who walks about with a hard on after kissing you?”
“I didn’t say he couldn’t get hard,” she sneers. “He just can’t bring himself to sleep with me again, and I don’t know how to feel. I love him a lot, and I was going to give him the silent treatment, but I can’t stay angry at him, not at this. And I also won’t fall asleep next to him knowing he doesn't find me attractive anymore.”
“He loves you.”
“That’s different from attraction,” she counters.
“Ah, Mooncrest men,” I groan. “I miss when I didn't know any.”
“Unfortunately, I’ve always known him.”
I pat her head. “Hang in there, my Ellie.”
“Yep, nothing else I can do.” She flops back onto the bed. “I love him, and I’ll learn to live off my fingers again.” She sighs. “Nothing new.”
