Chapter 112
Chapter 112
Sierra had at least heard of most of the world’s famous animal experts.
But Sebastian was someone who really stood out in her memory.
In her previous life, Sebastian shot to fame in Elyria thanks to his knack for bonding with marine creatures.
His name spread like wildfire among conservationists, and with his speeches and conservation stories making waves across countries, he ended up at the very top of the marine conservation world.
But soon after, Sebastian was dead.
He was brutally rammed by a pod of over a hundred dolphins, his body left a mangled mess, torn apart piece by piece.
As if unleashing their fury, the dolphins bit off Sebastian’s head, and the waves washed it up on the shore. The story made headlines all over the world.
Dolphins were famous for loving humans. There had never been a single report of them attacking people in the wild, much less ever killing anyone.
But it didn’t take long for the international animal protection investigators to uncover the truth. Sebastian had it coming.
To build up his friendly reputationǹ, he would train and force marine animals to interact with him just for the sake of photos.
One little dolphin didn’t want to play along, so Sebastian stabbed it with a homemade machete, and the poor thing bled out and died.
In the end, the whole pod of dolphins took revenge, ripping him to shreds.
What went around came around. Karma never missed.
Sierra thought hard, trying to recall when Sebastian died. Pretty sure it was this year.
While Sebastian was still trying to process everything, Sierra suddenly spoke up. “Mr. Wiggins, I happen to know a thing or two about reading faces.”
Sebastian looked at her, surprised. “You can do that?”
Sierra nodded. “Mr. Wiggins, I see a dark shadow over your brow. Looks like you’re in for a bloody disaster. Maybe even lose your head. If you want to avoid this fate, you’d better start doing good and mind your words.”
“You’re cursing me!” Sebastian snapped.
Rage boiled up as Sebastian stared daggers at Sierra.
‘I thought this young expert from Hustralia would be easy to mess with, but damn, she’s a tough nut to crack,’ Sebastian grumbled to himself.
Sebastian was so pissed that his face went dark, but he was too furious to spit out a single word.
Seeing that, Sierra and the others just grabbed whatever seats were free on the bus.
Once most of the experts from around the world had arrived, they made their way to the shore.
There, a huge white ship, three stories tall, was docked, loaded up with all sorts of gear and tech.
Sebastian looked like he’d just swallowed a lemon the whole ride over, and once they got off the bus, he clammed up and

refused to say another word.

With Sebastian staying silent, Timothy was in a much better mood. As he got off the bus, he made a big show of rolling his eyes right at Sebastian.
Sebastian was so pissed that he could barely stop himself from throwing a punch.
Everyone in the crew hopped aboard the ship.
The main mission for this documentary was to chase after dolphins and dive deep to film all the sea life on the ocean floor, so they’d be eating, sleeping, and living on the ship the whole time.
Sierra and Sophie were rooming together, with Ethan and the rest of the team staying in the rooms right next door.
Not long after they finished unpacking, the ship let out a loud blast from its horn and slowly started moving. The water at the stern churned up into white foam as the ship headed out toward the open sea.
Getting deep into the ocean to film the creatures down there wasn’t too hard, but catching sight of dolphins was pure luck. They never knew when they’d get the chance.
The ship had been out at sea for three days, and with the vessel heading into deeper waters, the waves got rougher. Some of the zoologists got so seasick that they had to bow out of the work.
Sierra and the others, though, handled it pretty well. They were a little dizzy at first, but soon enough, they got used to it.
Up on the deck, Sebastian was flying the drone, staring out at the calm sea, and couldn’t help but curse out loud.
“Damn it, didn’t they say dolphins always show up around here? There’s not even a damn bird in sight,” he complained.
Just as he finished, he suddenly heard birds chirping behind him.
He turned around and saw dozens of seagulls crowding both the deck railing and Sierra’s shoulders.
It wasn’t that there were no birds. They’d all gathered around Sierra.
She didn’t even have any food on her, but the birds just couldn’t stay away. Some were even fighting for a spot on her shoulders.
Every time Sierra got close to the railing, the water would erupt with fish, all swarming to the surface.
Sebastian had never run into anything this bizarre before.
Noticing Sebastian’s sinister look, Sierra, who’d been messing around with the birds, looked his way.
She raised an eyebrow and mocked, “Mr. Wiggins, aren’t you supposed to be the animal magnet around here? Three days and not a single dolphin? What’s up with that?”
Timothy never could stand Sebastian.
Most of the experts on this ship weren’t exactly famous. They were only here because the documentary was shelling out
serious cash.
Wildlife rangers were all dirt poor, and 300 thousand bucks was no small amount for any of them.
Elyria wanted to flaunt its national power with this project and didn’t hesitate to splash cash. That just made Sebastian even more arrogant, bossing around experts from poorer countries like they were his lackeys.
These past few days, a lot of the experts had been complaining left and right, but for the sake of the funding, they just had to
suck it up.

But Sebastian didn’t dare boss around the Hustralian team.
After all, the contract spelled it out. Everyone was supposed to work together, not play boss and underling.

These days, Sebastian was seriously pissed off. Knowing he couldn’t mess with Sierra and her crew, he kept his distance and tried to act all high and mighty with the other foreign experts.
When the Hustralian team started mocking him this time, Sebastian was so pissed that he nearly exploded on the spot.
He snapped back, “All you Hustralians ever do is run your mouths. The ocean’s huge. Dolphins aren’t just gonna pop up because you want them to. If you’re so good at talking smack, why don’t you take the wheel and show us how it’s done?”
Timothy shot back, “Sure, we can go find them ourselves, but that’ll be a whole different price tag.”
With that, he held out his hand to Sebastian. “60 million dollars. Wire the money!”
Sebastian just looked away, acting like he didn’t hear a word.
Suddenly, Sebastian spotted a blue-and-white dolphin leaping out of the deep blue sea in the distance, arching through the air in a perfect parabola.
That was the dolphin they’d been chasing for three days!
Sebastian’s eyes lit up, and he immediately called over the cameraman to start filming.
The commotion drew a crowd of experts down to the deck, and the place instantly buzzed with excitement.
They watched as the dolphin bounded playfully toward their ship, clearly delighted to see them.
Sebastian was the first to spot the dolphin, so he immediately told the cameraman to get a close-up of his face, then flip the shot back and forth between him and the dolphin.
He said, “It’s pretty rare for people to spot dolphins out here in the open sea. But I once helped out a stranded dolphin around here, and ever since then, every time I show up, it comes over just like today…”
“Idiot,” Sierra scoffed, barely bothering to hide her disdain.
The very next second, before Sebastian could even finish his sentence, the dolphin that had been leaping toward them suddenly rocketed 30 feet into the air and crashed down onto the deck, landing smack dab right in front of Sierra.
Everyone sucked in a sharp breath at the sight.
The dolphin tried to wiggle its fins, its slick skin making a harsh, squeaking sound against the rough deck. But its chubby body just wouldn’t move. Its eyes rolled anxiously, finally settling on the people on deck.
The dolphin shivered from head to tail and let out a faint, trembling plea.
It said, “P-please, help me. I don’t want to die. Don’t kill me.”
At the same time, a long call echoed from the depths, sounding almost magical, like something out of a fairy tale.
Sierra glanced down and spotted a black-and-white creature emerging from the deep blue sea.
But as she looked closer, she realized the surface suddenly became dark.
More than one giant was lurking in the water!
Just then, an orca’s sleek head broke the surface, its big, round eyes gazing at Sierra. In Sierra’s ear, she heard the voice of a young girl, clearly coming from the orca itself.

It said. “Hi, pretty human! We brought you a present. Do you like it?” the orca girl chirped. “Or if you’re not into dolphins, we can grab you a stingray or a seal instead.”
