Beast Tamer's Rebirth National Treasure Edition novel Chapter 115

Chapter 115

The experts on the boat burst into a noisy uproar, voices in all sorts of languages flying everywhere.

Sebastian heard the commotion and stepped out of the cabin. He saw when Sierra fell into the water, the other Hustralians on the yacht went white as sheets, and without hesitation, they all dove in after her!

Sebastian clicked his tongue.

‘Even after all these years, Hustralians still stick together like glue,’ Sebastian thought. ‘But with this many orcas closing in, those Hustralian experts can kiss their lives goodbye.’

Coleson saw what was happening and immediately ordered the best swimmers to jump in and save them.

Sebastian, watching from the side with a smirk, couldn’t help but gloat, “They’re done for. Orcas are massive; they probably think those Hustralians are devil rays. No way they’re coming back.”

Just thinking about how Sierra had embarrassed him earlier made Sebastian feel even more annoyed.

Now that Sierra was about to die, he finally felt a twisted sense of satisfaction.

Sebastian sneered, “Understand animal language? What a joke. That’s all fake. Hustralians are just a bunch of hypocritical frauds, nothing but clowns.”

Sebastian abruptly fell silent. His eyes suddenly filled with panic.

Coleson strode over and grabbed Sebastian by the collar, his handsome face stone cold. His words were sharp as ice. “Sebastian, who the hell do you think you are?

“If anything happens to the Hustralian expert team today, I’ll feed you to the sharks myself!”

“Y-You wouldn’t dare!” Sebastian stammered.

“Why wouldn’t I?” Coleson replied, cold and casual. “Out here in the open sea, animal experts falling overboard and drowning? Wouldn’t be the first time.”

Sebastian’s lips twitched as something suddenly clicked in his mind.

Then it dawned on him, aside from the foreign experts, almost everyone else on this boat was part of Coleson’s crew!

If Coleson wanted Sebastian dead, he wouldn’t even break a sweat.

Sebastian kept his mouth shut, completely cowed.

Coleson saw what was happening and immediately ordered the best swimmers to jump in and save them.

But just as he was gathering his team, the experts by the railing suddenly let out another round of startled cries.

Under the sunlight, the orcas shot up from the deep like sea spirits, their sleek bodies glinting with a golden sheen as they arched gracefully through the air.

With a loud splash, their massive bodies crashed back into the water.

One after another, the orcas repeated the same move, each one leaping and diving with effortless grace.

The experts on the big boat suddenly freaked out. One of them shouted, “There are people riding on their backs!”

Coleson immediately looked out over the water. And there they were, the Hustralian expert team, actually standing on the

backs of the orcas.

The orcas let out long, haunting calls.

The biggest and oldest orca, the leader of the pod, signaled to the others. The orcas quickly righted the overturned boat, and then one carefully slid half its body beneath the yacht, lifting Sierra so she could climb back aboard.

Once Sierra and the wildlife rescue team were safely back on deck, the oldest orca gazed at her with gentle, motherly eyes and spoke in a soft voice, “I’m sorry, girl.”

That warm, motherly voice rang softly in Sierra’s ear.

Orcas were crazy smart, and they were one of the few animals out there that just didn’t do the whole inbreeding thing.

When male orcas grew up, they usually headed off to other pods to start their families.

The boss of an orca pod was usually the toughest, sharpest adult female around.

The orca standing in front of Sierra was a mom, one of those rare, calm, and collected orca mothers one hardly ever saw in a pod.

Sierra replied, “It’s okay.”

But the orca leader wasn’t about to let it slide. It gave the little orca that had flipped Sierra’s boat a gentle smack with its tail and said, “Leah, give the humans à real apology.”

Leah realized that it had messed up and felt super guilty.

Leah let out a soft call and nudged its head up to the yacht. “Humans, I’m really sorry! I didn’t mean it, I swear. I just got freaked out that those jellyfish-brained buddies of mine would steal your love from me.”

Leah let out a long sigh. Leah really was sorry.

The orca leader gave its kid a look, then turned to Sierra with a soft sigh. “Leah’s still young and way too energetic. It gets all worked up and can’t help swinging its tail around sometimes.”

“Kind humans, please don’t be mad. We’ll make it up to you, promise,” the orca leader said.

Then, suddenly, the orca leader made a wild offer. “Hey, do you guys like devil rays? We heard a whole bunch of them a few miles away. If you want, we can catch them all for you. They’re super tasty!”

Sierra was stunned for a moment.

The orca leader saw Sierra’s blank look and figured it just didn’t care for it.

It tried again, “What about dolphins? They’re all pale and squishy, probably taste great, but honestly, we mostly just play head-butting games with them.”

“Or sea turtles? We love spinning them like tops. They’re a blast. And you humans can make fire, right? Turtle soup’s gotta be tasty,” the orca leader added.

Sierra wondered, ‘Okay, that’s a little over the top.

Worried the orcas might go hunting for those poor sea creatures any second, Sierra quickly spoke up. “We don’t eat or take any of that. But if you really want to make it up to us, could you help us out with something?”

Sierra pointed at the camera, then at the big boat. “We’re here to film dolphins and all kinds of sea life. Can we follow you around and film you guys?”

After a pause, Sierra explained, “Just do whatever you normally do every day, and let us film you!

“Sure!” The orca leader didn’t even hesitate. It nuzzled up to Sierra, its voice gentle and warm Girl, whatever you want, just say the word.”

Sierra couldn’t help but think, ‘If orcas had hands, this one would definitely be patting my head right now

Sierra was honestly shocked. No one would have thought she’d get mom vibes from an orca.

Sierra guessed the orca leader was probably treating her like its kid.

With the orcas’ okay, Sierra flashed an OK sign at the big boat. But then she realized they were probably too far away to see it, so she figured she’d better go over and check in with Coleson to let him know she was alright.

So Sierra let the orcas know she’d be heading over, and got ready to steer the yacht back to the big boat.

The little orca perked up, thinking this was her shot to apologize. It quickly called out, “Sierra, let me give you a ride over

Sierra glanced at Leah’s tail, wagging side to side like crazy. ‘If Leah were a dog, it would probably use that tail as a propeller and launch itself into the sky,’ Sierra thought.

When Sierra didn’t respond, Leah’s voice was trembling, on the verge of tears. “Sierra, are you still mad at me? I promise I’ll go super slow this time. I won’t let you fall in the water again, I swear!”

Leah was about to cry. Sierra couldn’t bear to see it upset. “Alright,” she said softly.

Leah brightened up instantly, all excited as it told Sierra to hop on its back.

This time, Leah swam fast and steady, like it were determined to do its job perfectly.

Leah suddenly realized something as it swam.

“Wait! Sierra, can you really understand what we’re saying?” Leah asked, its voice a little shaky.

Sierra froze. ‘Wait, do all orcas think this way?’ she wondered.
