Coleson landed two solid punches on Sebastian, leaving his eyes black and blue. Two streams of blood slid from his nose, ran over his lips, and dripped onto the deck.
If Ethan had been the one to hit him, Sebastian could understand. But Sebastian couldn’t stand that Coleson hit him.
Sebastian just couldn’t figure out why these people were so pissed. When those Hustralians said he looked like a turtle, he hadn’t even cared that much.
Coleson and the whole wildlife rescue team looked like they were out for blood.
Everyone closed in around him, and in the next instant, fists came flying at Sebastian like a meteor shower.
Sophie didn’t step forward. Instead, she linked arms with Sierra and remarked with a hint of indifference, “That’s brutal.”
With that, she led Sierra toward the ship’s restaurant. “Let’s leave them to it and grab some food.”
Sierra nodded, gave Sebastian, who looked like he was about to crap himself, a quick glance, then barely spared him another look before turning away.
Sebastian, sniveling from the beating, slunk back to the cabin. The Elyrian experts who’d come with him didn’t even dare to speak up; they just kept their eyes averted and acted like nothing had happened.
Sebastian shot a murderous glare.
Not being able to put Sierra down was already embarrassing enough, and now even his own teammates were making fun of him.
Pissed off, he kicked the guy next to him.
The teammate was mad but didn’t dare say anything, just kept his head down, mumbling apologies.
Sebastian perked up, and when he remembered Sierra was trying to find dolphins, he snickered, “Those Hustralians want to find dolphins? They can forget about ever finding them, not in a million years!”
His teammate looked like something suddenly clicked for him. He shuddered, his face going very pale.

They’d been out at sea for half a month. The director said they’d shot enough underwater footage, but the real prize, the dolphins, were still nowhere to be seen.
Sierra had wanted to ask the dolphin she was holding if it knew where its pod was, but the poor thing was so freaked out by the orcas that it couldn’t even respond to her.
With no other choice, Sierra had to look for the dolphins by other means.
The next day, Sierra asked the orcas if they knew where the dolphin pod had gone.
Leah answered, “No clue. We’ve been hoping to find some dolphins to play with, but honestly, we haven’t spotted a single one in ages.”
Sierra followed up. “What about that dolphin you flipped into the air before?”
Leah replied, “That was just a little one who got separated from its group.
“We weren’t bullying it. It was injured, and the smell of blood was attracting sharks. We handed it over to you because we

knew you would help.”

After Leah finished explaining, it suddenly freaked out, “Don’t tell me that dolphin’s out there telling everyone we bullied it?”
‘Come on, we told it what we were doing when we tossed it. We just didn’t ask for its permission. Even if it wasn’t happy about it, that’s no reason to turn the story upside down!’ Leah wondered.
“Sierra, if you put that little dolphin back in the water, I swear I’m gonna teach it a lesson it won’t forget today!” Leah snapped.
‘I’m a full-grown orca. I’ve never had to put up with this kind of crap in my life!’ Leah wondered.
Sierra just stared, speechless.
Leah lost its cool in a flash, and the orca calves were just as fired up; they all wanted the little dolphin to give them an explanation, right here and now.
Sierra could only explain, “It looked really freaked out. When I tried to talk to it, it couldn’t say a word to me.”
Leah looked surprised, then blurted out, “Wait. Did we knock the sense out of it?”
‘None of the other dolphins ever got like this when we played with them before, Leah wondered.
Leah explained, sounding a bit guilty, “I promise we were just messing around, not trying to be mean.”
After thinking for a moment, Leah added defensively, “And honestly, it already seemed weird when we first saw it.
“It just kept swimming forward, wouldn’t answer us when we asked if it wanted to play, just kept going and going. We were honestly worried it might wear itself out.”
Sierra noticed something was off right away.
“So you’re saying it was already acting weird before you even found it?” she asked.
“Yeah,” Leah said, racking its brain to remember how the little dolphin was acting.
But honestly, Leah had been way too excited to finally see one, and for the life of it, it couldn’t remember what the little guy was saying back then.
“It was saying ‘run’!” Just then, an adult male dolphin next to Leah piped up, “I kept hearing that little dolphin saying ‘run’
over and over!”
Sierra’s heart dropped. ‘Wait, did I just miss something huge?’ she thought.
Without hesitation, she slammed the brakes on the yacht and spun it around, racing back toward the main ship.
Coleson noticed Sierra was back unusually early and looked a bit concerned. “Is something wrong?”
Sierra shook her head. “No, it’s nothing. I just remembered something important.”
Coleson didn’t push. “You guys have been working nonstop these days. Why not just chill in the cabin and take it easy today?”
Sierra nodded.
Instead of heading into the cabin, she, Ethan, and the others went straight to the huge glass aquarium on the ship, where the dolphin they’d rescued was right there inside.
The tank was filled with crystal blue water, and its injuries had already been taken care of.

When the dolphin saw her, its pupils shrank in fear, and it started shaking uncontrollably.
It turned its back, not daring to look Sierra in the eye. It was scared.
Ethan and the others looked puzzled. “Is it scared?” Ethan asked.
Sierra nodded. “Ethan, I’ve got a feeling there’s more to these missing dolphins than just bad luck.”
Ethan froze for a moment, stunned.
Sierra moved to the other side of the tank, lifting her chin to meet the dolphin’s gaze.
The dolphin kept trying to dodge her eyes, twisting its body as if refusing to look Sierra in the face.
Sierra raised her voice, gentle but firm, “I can understand you, and I promise, we’re not here to hurt you!”
Just as she said that, the dolphin froze in place, finally stopping its tail from blocking Sierra.

Seeing this, Sierra gently placed her hand against the glass, her voice soft and reassuring. “We’ve been out here on the ocean searching for your pod for more than two weeks. You’re the only dolphin we’ve come across this whole time.”
The dolphin inside the tank responded instinctively, its voice trembling, “I-I don’t know anything, I swear! I really don’t!”
Sierra frowned.
She’d tried talking to the dolphin before, always assuming it was too freaked out by the orcas to say a word.
But just now, she must’ve said the magic word, because the dolphin finally blurted something out without even thinking.
This dolphin wasn’t actually scared stupid; it was just playing dumb.
Sierra’s expression turned solemn as she said, “I’m an animal expert from Hustralia. My job is to help you guys.”
That word seemed to catch its attention. The dolphin immediately looked over. “Hustralia?”
As it spoke, its gaze shifted between Sierra and the people behind her, finally lingering on Sierra and Alex, glancing back and forth a few times.
It felt strangely safe next to Sierra, and the humans behind her didn’t seem hostile at all.
The dolphin was really conflicted.
But when it saw the hope in Sierra’s eyes, it just couldn’t turn her down.
It finally spoke up, voice shaking, “Am I really allowed to say? You’re not gonna kill me like those other humans, right?”
