Chapter 127

Chapter 127

Sophie suddenly made her move, and the Elyrians who’d had the upper hand were now scrambling to defend themselves.

With her special forces background, no matter how many of them there were, Sophie wasn’t scared at all.

Sophie was focused on figuring out how to get everyone out safely.

Sophie barked in perfect Elyrian, “Move, or I’ll take you all down!”

The fishermen instantly deflated, their bravado vanishing like air from a popped balloon.

Sebastian clutched his chest and coughed. Sophie’s kick had probably cracked a rib, and every breath was agony.

“There’s no way I’m letting them escape, and those videos? Over my dead body,’ Sebastian thought.

“What are you all standing around for? Look at them. How many are there? And how many of us? What are you afraid of? Get in there! Kill them, or you’re the ones who’ll die!” Sebastian shouted.

The fishermen snapped out of it at his words.

They gripped steel forks and sickles nearly 6 feet long. Even if Sophie and her crew could fight like demons, they were empty-handed against a mob armed to the teeth; there was no way they could win this.

They could work together to keep this secret, but there was no way those Hustralian experts were ever leaving this village.

Death was the only way out.

The fishermen’s fighting spirit was set ablaze in an instant.

Sierra and the others whipped out the stun batons Coleson had given them.

Sierra took a deep breath and looked at Jace again. “Guard the camera with your life.”

Then she turned, her eyes burning with passionate resolve. “Let’s die together.”,

Even if it was a hopeless fight, she was still ready to risk everything and go down swinging.

All hell broke loose as both sides rushed in at once.

The reef wasn’t big, and at first, Sierra, Sophie, and Ethan took the front line and held their ground. But no matter how skilled they were, they couldn’t hold out against the mob swarming them.

The Elyrians had gone berserk. They were fighting like maniacs, hell-bent on killing every last one of them.

In less than ten minutes, everyone was battered and bleeding, sporting fresh wounds all over.

Their faces, arms, and legs were torn and bloodied, but nobody felt a thing. Only one thing burned in their minds, and that was to fight to the bitter end.

But more and more fishermen kept coming, and the ground Sierra and the others could hold kept shrinking. In the end, the six of them were forced right up to the very edge of the reef.

Foaming waves slammed against the rocks below, churning the sea into a frenzy.

At that moment, Sierra was so exhausted that she thought she was hallucinating.

“Sierra, don’t be afraid! We’re here to save you!” The voices didn’t fade. They were definitely Leah and Finn.

‘Wait, this isn’t just in my head!’ Sierra realized, her heart pounding.

Meanwhile, Sebastian dragged himself up, and when he saw the six of them looking like they’d been through hell, he burst. out in a maniacal laugh. “You’re cornered now! There’s nowhere left to run!”

But what greeted him wasn’t fear or panic; it was a mocking smirk curling at the corner of Sierra’s mouth.

Sierra nonchalantly yanked the memory card out of the camera, stuffed it into a waterproof pouch, and chucked the camera into the water. “Didn’t you want the camera? Take it!”

Sebastian exploded, “Who gives a damn about the camera? I want the memory card, damn it!”

Yeah, there were a few clips left on the camera, but without the memory card, it was worthless to him.

“Damn it. You’ve got the nerve to screw with me when you’re staring death in the face?” Sebastian roared, livid.

“Who says we’re finished?” Sierra glanced back at the starkly divided red and blue waves, her eyes full of taunting confidence. “Remember what I told you before?”

Sebastian frowned, snapping impatiently, “Just what are you trying to say?”

Something in Sierra’s words and that mocking tone sent a chill down his spine.

At that moment, he saw Sierra leading the six of them, retreating all the way to the edge of the cliff.

The salty wind whipped Sierra’s hair as she tossed Sebastian a cocky grin. “Told you before, the orca pod totally loves me. Because I can actually understand them.”

Sebastian could not even react. He just stood there, dumbstruck, watching as all six of them jumped straight into the ocean without a hint of hesitation.
