Chapter 233 Wanted
Sierra and the others had a good night’s rest, but when they woke up the next morning, they found themselves trending on local social media.
Lucas had called the police, and local authorities had already posted wanted posters.
Overnight, they had become international fugitives.
As they scrolled through the endless stream of hate comments on Thalasia’s biggest social media platform, Sierra realized things were getting complicated.
With things like this, there was no way they could go back to Tiger Haven to investigate further.
Henry and Thomas managed to get in touch, telling them that the country had their backs. If they wanted to stay in Thalasia and keep digging into Tiger Haven, they’d get all the support they needed.
Basically, they said, “Just do what you want. Don’t be scared.”
After all, Hustralia was totally crushing Thalasia when it came to both the economy and military.
With Thomas and Henry’s reassurance, everyone instantly felt relieved.
Having someone in one’s corner really made all the difference.
Sierra mulled it over for a while before saying, “The Thalasia cops can’t keep tabs on us forever. For now, let’s lay low.
“I’ll have Mr. Carter make it look like I’ve already returned to Hustralia, and get the folks back home to cover for us.
“That way, the cops will shift their attention back home. Right now, what matters most is figuring out why the tigers are so out of it, where the tigers that got switched out came from, and where the dead ones went.”
Sierra quickly passed her plan back home.
Henry moved fast. He hacked Sierra’s IP to show she was back in Hustralia, and dropped a bunch of posts online showing Sierra was safe and sound back home.
The Thalasians were losing their minds over the tiger heist, spamming Hustralian social media with a flood of angry rants
and insults.
Hy’stralian netizens were late to the party, only just realizing that Sierra had somehow become-Thalasia’s most wanted overnight.
One commented: [Wait, isn’t Sierra supposed to be in Hustralia? How’d she end up in Thalasia stealing tigers?]
Another commented: [Those tigers from Tiger Haven? No wonder everyone’s freaking out.]
Someone commented: [Sierra, are you for real? You see a wild animal, and your first thought is to steal it? Girl, what’s wrong with you?]
One commented: [Is everyone brainless or what? Sure, Sierra did take those tiger cubs, but the Thalasia cops have no idea what’s really going on. And haven’t you noticed our country totally has Sierra’s back?]
The netizens could tell there’s something shady going on here.
Never mind that Sierra’s got a whole army of fluffballs already; her randomly flying off to Thalasia to snatch tiger cubs was just next-level crazy.
She had thousands of furry critters at the zoo, and Payton was causing chaos at home.
The netizens thought ‘Is Sierra just addicted to petting animals, or does she think Payton isn’t wild enough for her?”
One commented: [Honestly, I don’t think this is as simple as it looks. Especially with that video of Sierra and her crew
sneaking around. Tiger Haven’s definitely hiding something, and Sierra was just trying to scope things out on the down-low.

Another commented: [Dang, is wildlife protection really this dangerous now? She’s actually a wanted woman!]
Someone commented: [Most wildlife protection gigs aren’t even that hard, but Sierra’s basically the GOAT, so she always gets mixed up in the craziest stuff.]
To Sierra’s surprise, Hustralian fans were actually using their brains for once.
Sure, there was plenty of hate flying around, but just as many folks were convinced there was something shady going on. Some Hustralian netizens went all out, stormin Successfully unlocked! clapping back hard for Sierra.
Hustralian language skills were so next-level, some of the more incurup indlasian netizens got flamed so badly online, they were practically left for dead in the comments.

Chapter 233 Wanted
The Thalasia cops still had Sierra and her crew on the wanted list.
Sierra holed up at Wesley’s place for a whole month, and sure enough, the hype finally started to die down.
But what really caught Sierra off guard was when Elliot came looking for her himself.
Elliot had rushed over, and when Sierra saw him standing at the door, his suit and tie all rumpled and his hair a total mess, she was stunned. She quickly let him in.
“Elliot, you…” Sierra started, but before she could finish, a faint, woodsy scent, like the air after a snowfall, hit her as soon as she opened the door.
Elliot pulled her straight into his arms.
His chest was rising and falling, and for a long moment, he just held her tight, not letting go or saying a word.
Sierra’s eyes went wide, and for a second she thought about pushing him away. But in the end, she hugged him back, giving him a gentle pat.
Elliot’s voice shook, almost through clenched teeth. He said, “Sierra, you nearly scared me to death!”
Sierra froze for a second.
One could hear the fear, the worry, and even a bit of relief in Elliot’s voice.
“Elliot, don’t be mad,” Sierra said softly.
Elliot let go of her, and for a moment, a flash of awkwardness and fear showed in his eyes: he’d just hugged her out of nowhere.
But then, remembering he’d gone a whole month without hearing from Sierra, he started getting mad all over again.
He said, “Sierra, you’re out of line! How could you get mixed up in something this dangerous and not tell me?”
Right after he said it, Elliot realized he might’ve been too harsh. He thought, ‘What if Sierra starts crying because of me?’

So he just smacked his lips, couldn’t bring himself to keep scolding her.
But with nowhere else to vent his frustration, he unleashed his rant on Sophie as she walked out of the room.
Elliot snapped, “Sophie, come on, you’re a grown woman. Sierra’s still young, but you should know better. When something this huge goes down, you should’ve just headed home.
“Our family’s got enough clout to handle anything. Being wanted is no big deal for us. Worst case, we just never set foot in Thalasia again.
“You have no idea how worried Leonard and our parents are. Just giving you both a heads up. When you get back, watch out for Vivian’s wrath. She’s like a rocket ready to explode: one wrong move, and she’ll set off in a heartbeat.
“The day before yesterday, Leonard got roasted by Vivian just for stepping through the door with his left foot first. And today, Dad got sent to sleep in the study as punishment for using his right foot.”
Everyone was speechless.
Sierra thought, ‘Why am I getting blamed for this, too?’
Noticing Sierra’s confused look, Elliot glanced at her and said, “Of course, this is about you. My mom treats you like her own daughter. If her girl gets into something this big and doesn’t ask for help, you really think she won’t be mad?”
Sierra was totally stumped.
She quickly explained, “I didn’t mean to.”
“Sierra, when you get home, just sit down and explain everything to Vivian. She’ll forgive you,” Elliot reassured her.
Then he leaned in and whispered, “When you get back, just pin it all on Sophie. She’s tough as nails. If Vivian ever tried to fight her, there’s no way Vivian’d stand a chance.”
Elliot thought, ‘Sierra is just too honest for her own good.
‘If Vivian ever tries to go after her, Sierra would just let it happen without fighting back.
‘Sure, Sierra has everyone worried, but a little scolding is fine. If Vivian ever tries to raise a hand against her, I definitely wouldn’t stand for it.’
Sierra had no idea what Elliot was thinking, but she watched as his frown deepened, like he was really torn up about something.
Finally, Elliot looked at Sierra with total seriousness and said, “Look, if my mom ever tries to hit you, just blame it all on Sophie. And if even Sophie can’t handle her, just run. Leave it to me, I’ll hold her back.”
