Chapter 245 Cherry The Pink Dolphin
‘A pink dolphin?’ Sierra froze for a second, but quickly regained her composure.
Still in her wetsuit, she strapped on her oxygen tank and mouthpiece, then dove in with the team.
Harold called after her, but Sierra didn’t even look back.
The orcas led Sierra and the team to the very center of the sea.
Leah, just nine feet from Sierra’s boat, showed off like it had found a treasure. “Sierra, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a pink dolphin. It’s so pretty that I almost don’t have the heart to bump it.”
Sierra was speechless.
‘Figures, orcas really only have bumping dolphins on their minds, Sierra thought.
Pink dolphins, also known as Hustralian white dolphins, were counted among the rarest creatures on earth. Since they were so elusive, the Global Wildlife Foundation still had no idea how many were out there.
Their skin was naturally white, but as they aged and used up energy, the blood and oxygen flowing beneath their skin would tint it pink whenever they came up for air or leapt out of the water.
Sierra had never laid eyes on a pink dolphin, not in this life or her previous life.
Leah volunteered to lead Sierra and the crew to where the pink dolphin was seen.
The spot wasn’t far, less than three nautical miles away from the boat.
There was a tiny island nearby, but the orcas and humpback whales were too massive to approach the shallows without risking getting stranded, so they had to hang back in the deeper waters.
Sierra and the others pulled the small boat up to the shore, then made their way to where the pink dolphin was trapped.
On the tiny beach, waves lapped at the shore from time to time, washing up ocean trash that had been drifting around for a long time, but no one knew how long.
The pink dolphin lay there quietly, twisting and writhing, desperately trying to ride the waves back to the ocean.
But the waves were way too weak, and the beach was littered with garbage. After struggling for ages, it just couldn’t make it back and finally collapsed, exhausted, lying motionless on the sand.
“Help me, I don’t want to die, I can’t die… I want to go back,” the dolphin let out a desperate, mournful screech, and Sierra could hear just how hopeless and raspy its voice sounded.
Fine yellow sand unique to the beach clung to the pink dolphin’s body, rubbing against its skin.
Just when it thought it was about to die, a gentle, soothing presence drifted in on the salty sea breeze, and it was something it had never felt before.
The dolphin raised its hopeless eyes and saw a girl in a black wetsuit rushing toward it, with a piece of cotton cloth in her hand.
Someone beside the girl was pouring water from a bottle onto the cloth.
As the chilly seawater was poured over its parched, cracked skin, the pink dolphin just stared in a daze at those humans.
“Are you guys here to save me?” it asked.
The dolphin was a female.
Sierra gently laid the cotton cloth over it, making sure every spot was covered. Her voice was gentle as she replied, “Yeah. We’re here to help you.”
The dolphin looked at Sierra, totally astonished.
Sierra continued, “You heard me right. I can understand what you’re saying.”
‘What?’ the fernale dolphin’s inner voice exclaimed.
By then, Sierra had the dolphin completely wrapped up in the cloth, but she couldn’t lift it alone, so Ethan and Timothy stepped in to help hoist it onto the boat.
The dolphin felt uneasy and started to squirm, not used to being handled like this.
Sierra gently stroked it and whispered, “Hey, yc Successfully unlocked!w. I’m going to have my friends lift you onto
the boat.
“Our big ship has medical gear, so don’t worry. If you’re all right, we’ll let you go back home to the ocean.”

Chapter 245 Cherry The Pink Dolphin
The pink dolphin was way too exhausted to even struggle at that moment.
It was so worn out that it couldn’t even get a word out.
Once they got the dolphin onto the boat, Sierra noticed there was a tracker attached to it.
Sierra scanned the tracker’s chip, and her phone instantly pulled up all the pink dolphin’s info.
Its name was Cherry, and the local conservation station had been keeping tabs on it for five years.
Sierra was still going through Cherry’s info when Ryan suddenly cried out, “Sierra, check the dolphin. Something’s not right.”
Sierra shook herself and rushed over to check on Cherry.
Just a moment ago, Cherry had seemed fine, but now it suddenly started coughing up a lot of blood.
After a few more retches, Sierra spotted some undigested ocean trash.
Without hesitating, Sierra said, “Back to the ship. There’s probably undigested trash blocking Cherry’s intestines.”
Everyone sprang into action. Timothy and Mark started up the boat, and with no diagnostic equipment on hand, all Sierra could do was keep Cherry’s skin moist.
They made it back to the big ship quickly. Harold saw that Sierra had hurried out and now hurried back, and this time with a pink dolphin in tow.
Harold blinked in confusion. “What is this?”
Sierra said, “Harold, get us heading back, quick.”
With that, Sierra took Cherry straight to the ship’s medical room.
The medical room wasn’t equipped for surgery, but at least they had an endoscope for basic stomach checks.
Sierra pulled on a sterile gown and surgical gloves.
Cherry was already unconscious. After giving it the anesthesia, Sierra whispered softly, “Cherry, just sleep for a while. You’ll feel better when you wake up.”
Cherry could barely register Sierra’s words, but her gentle voice was so soothing that it made Cherry feel safe.
Its half-closed eyes slowly drifted shut.
Seeing that, Sierra said, “Help me open her mouth.”
With that, she grabbed a nine-foot-long tube and slid it down Cherry’s throat, all the way into her stomach and guts.
As she had figured, when the tube reached Cherry’s stomach, Sierra saw it was stuffed full of undigested plastic bits, and its intestines were blocked by a massive clump of plastic bags.
Cherry’s stomach and guts were bleeding out. If they didn’t act fast, Cherry would be done for and bleed out before they could save its life.
“Ethan, go tell Harold to call the nearest rescue center and get the surgical gear ready for Cherry. It’s running out of time,” Sierra urged.
Cherry’s stomach and intestines were still bleeding out. If it kept losing blood like this, it wouldn’t make it.
Ethan didn’t hesitate for a second and rushed out to talk to Harold.
Alex said to Sierra, “But it’ll take hours to get back by boat. Cherry won’t make it that long.”
Sierra pulled the tube out of Cherry’s mouth, blood still trickling down the black rubber.
She froze for a moment after hearing Alex, then said, “Keep an eye on Cherry. If anything changes, let me know right away. need to make a call.”
No one had any idea who Sierra was calling, but her expression was grave. She stripped off her bloody gloves and hurried out.
As soon as Sierra stepped out of the operating room, she headed straight back to her room.
Without a second thought, she pulled up Elliot’s number in her contacts.
She barely had time to hit call before Elliot picked up.
Elliot sounded genuinely excited. “Sierra, what brings you to call me today?”
Sierra’s voice was low and urgent as she quickly laid out the problem, then cut to the chase. “Elliot, can I borrow your helicopter in Hustralia?”
Elliot went quiet for a few seconds.

Sierra assumed he was reluctant to help.
To her surprise, Elliot practically jumped up with excitement before Sierra could say another word. “Wait! You mean in Harborty? No way! I’m actually here for a meeting right now.
“Don’t worry. I’ll have someone pick you and Cherry-or whatever its name is-up and get you both to the hospital within the hour.”
As soon as he finished, Sierra could hear Elliot’s leather shoes pounding the floor as he rushed off.
She finally let out a sigh of relief.
Elliot never failed to deliver once he promised something. Sure enough, in less than an hour, his private helicopter had already landed out on the water.
