Natalie had a faint birthmark on her wrist, and her voice was so unique that Sierra could tell it was her right away.
Ryan nodded. “Yeah, I also suspected it was her. I traced the IP address, and it’s currently in Thalasia. The video was posted three days ago.”
After a pause, Ryan gritted his teeth and said, “And get this. This account has been posting videos of abusing cats for ten years, even some endangered species! There are like seven or eight hundred videos!”
That meant over seven hundred cats and dogs ended up dead because of Natalie’s cruelty.
Sierra was momentarily stunned.
Ryan continued, “After torturing the cats, this person would use a dehydrator to dry out the animals and then stash them
away.
“Seriously, what a fucking psycho!”
Sierra asked urgently, “Is there any footage from inside the house? Let me see.”
Ryan immediately pulled up a video from the account, and sure enough, Sierra recognized the background. It was the Sterling residence..
Sierra shot to her feet.
Ryan looked up at her, his voice trembling as he called out, “S-Sierra.” Seeing the storm brewing on her face, he couldn’t help but swallow nervously.
Sierra said, “Go get everyone. We’re heading to the Sterling residence today.”
Ryan froze for a second, then grabbed his laptop and bolted.
As soon as the wildlife rescue team got the news, they rushed to gather downstairs at the dorm entrance.
Ryan gave a quick rundown of what happened, and now it wasn just Sierra looking grim. Everyone on the team looked ready to lose their breakfast.
This time, Sierra also called in the police.
Ever since Sharon’s birthday, Sierra hadn’t set foot in the Sterling residence.
So when the housekeeper at the Sterling residence saw Sierra standing at the door with a stormy look on her face, she stared in disbelief and blurted out, “Sierra? What are you doing here?”
Sierra shot her a look.
This housekeeper had never missed a chance to put her down before.
Sierra didn’t hold back. “Are you dying or something? Why’s your mouth so nasty?”
The housekeeper looked like she’d seen a ghost.
The police officer behind Sierra acted like he hadn’t heard a thing, flashed his badge, and said, “We’re investigating a case. Please open the door.”
When the housekeeper saw the cops, she totally chickened out.

Chapter 252
Sharon heard Sierra’s voice outside and hurried out.
When she saw it really was Sierra, her eyes lit up, and she dashed out, still in her slippers.
“Sierra, Sierra! What brings you here? Are you here to see me?” Sharon called out.

“Mrs. Sterling, don’t flatter yourself,” Sierra shot back.
Her smile stiffened, and she gave Sierra a wounded look.
Sierra thought to herself, ‘Honestly, all those over-the-top, phony faces Natalie makes? She totally learned them from Sharon.’
The police didn’t care about Sharon’s reaction. They just said, “Mrs. Sterling, we have reason to believe your daughter Natalie Sterling has been abusing wild animals.
“We need to search her room as part of our investigation. Please cooperate.”
Sharon was completely floored.
“What?” she blurted out, stunned.
She stammered, “No, that’s impossible!”
Despite all the resentment Sharon felt toward Natalie, she’d watched her grow up. They were together almost every day when Natalie was little.
Sharon just couldn’t wrap her head around the idea that Natalie could ever hurt an animal.
The cop said, “Ms. Sierra Sterling found it on a video site. Whether it’s true or not, Mrs. Sterling, just cooperate with our investigation. And if you try to stop us, don’t blame us for being rough.”
After the warning, Sierra led the police straight to Natalie’s room
Sharon just followed along, totally spaced out, her brain running on empty.
Sharon had already pretty much emptied out Natalie’s room.
Her hatred for Natalie ran so deep that she wished she could skin her alive.
So there was practically nothing left in Natalie’s room.
But the police still went ahead and searched the place from top to bottom.
In the end, the cops noticed some suspicious things in several spots, like by the bed and inside the closet.
Everyone worked together to shift the furniture and obstacles, and sure enough, they uncovered a bunch of items wrapped in brown paper.
There were dozens of packages, both big and small.
The police filmed everything right there, and then ripped open the brown paper. Inside were the bodies of many cats and dogs, plus the pelts of some rare wild animals.
Their bodies had been completely flattened, like taxidermy specimens, still twisted in the final pose they died in.
Sharon clutched her chest and gasped in horror.
“How… How is this even possible?” she stammered.

Chapter 252
She thought, ‘When did Natalie do all this behind my back?
What kind of monster did I raise?
‘She’s as cold-blooded as a viper!’
Sharon’s eyes filled with tears, pouring down her cheeks as she started bawling.

Sierra gave her a cold, sarcastic look. “Only now you realize what kind of monster Natalie really is? This is all because you spoiled her rotten.”
Sharon wanted to deny it.
Even if she’d been totally clueless before, she still had some basic decency.
If she’d known Natalie was like this, she would’ve done whatever it took to fix her.
But the real issue was that Natalie managed to keep all this hidden for ten whole years without anyone suspecting a thing.
Sharon felt dizzy, her vision going dark. “I swear, Sierra, I never enabled her. I honestly had no idea she was like this!”
Sierra snapped back, “When I brought Payton home, she beat my dog, kicked it out, and even secretly stabbed it with needles. Wasn’t it you all who just let her do whatever she wanted
“Even if you didn’t know her true nature, you kept covering for her again and again. That’s why Natalie kept crossing the line, breaking the law and doing all this twisted stuff.
“At the end of the day, it’s on her parents-you, Jonathan, and Shawn. You all let her get away with it, every single time.
“No matter how much you deny it, that’s the truth.”
“I…” Sharon stammered.
She was completely at a loss, unable to argue back.
Her mind raced back to when Sierra had just returned, always pleading with her to let Payton stay inside. Sierra kept saying that Natalie would mess with the dog.
But since Natalie was allergic to dog fur, even if Sharon wanted to agree, she still refused Sierra every single time.
And then there were those recurring nightmares she kept having
In them, Sierra was frantically searching through a garbage dump, and finally came out clutching a blood-soaked black plastic bag, her face as pale as a ghost.
Sharon’s face went pale with shock and fear as it all clicked for her.
Sierra smirked, her tone dripping with sarcasm as she leaned in right next to Sharon. “What’s wrong, Mrs. Sterling? Dreaming about that again, huh?
“Dreaming about me digging through the trash in my previous life, trying to find Payton’s body? No, wait, Payton didn’t even have a body left. Natalie only left me its chopped-up limbs hacked off with a blunt knife.”
Sharon was totally stunned.
Her eyes went wide, flickering with terror.
She’d never considered this before.

But with Sierra’s reminder, Sharon couldn’t help but recall the past.

Natalie always seemed to love animals, but every pet Sharon gave her either wound up dead in the pool or just disappeared.
Sometimes, she’d hear cats crying out in agony, their screams tearing through the air.
But she always just assumed it was cats in heat, never thinking there could be anything else behind it.
Suddenly, Sharon remembered something and bolted downstairs, panic written all over her face.
She made a beeline for the villa’s backyard lawn.
It was a spot she hadn’t set foot in since her birthday last year.
The housekeepers saw Sharon rushing out in a panic and couldnt help but follow after her.
Sharon stared at the vibrant green lawn and told the housekeeper, “Go grab some tools and dig up this grass for me.”
The housekeeper hesitated, “Mrs. Sterling, are you sure about this…?”
None of them had a clue what had set Sharon off.
Sierra was puzzled at first, but then realization dawned on her. She just watched in silence as Sharon started barking orders.
The housekeepers didn’t dare disobey and hurried off to grab the tools.
But they hadn’t been digging for long when one of the housekeepers suddenly let out a scream.
Sharon’s face went ghostly pale as she walked over, and there, mixed in with the dirt, was what was left of an animal, almost completely rotted away.
It was so far gone that she couldn’t even tell if it had been a cat, a dog, or something else.
But one thing was certain. The animal’s body was twisted in a way that was just unnatural, like someone had wrung it out like a towel. And those empty eye sockets…
It was as if two pitch-black eyes had suddenly appeared, staring straight at her.
Those hollow eyes seemed to be questioning her, scrutinizing her every move.
Sharon’s face grew even paler.
She swallowed hard, shot a look at Sierra, who was as calm as ever, and said, “Keep digging. Not just the backyard. Search every nook and cranny of the house. See if there are any more animal remains hidden anywhere.”
Even the cops, seeing all the animal remains piling up, grabbed tools and started digging alongside the housekeepers.
They kept digging nonstop, from ten in the morning until six in the evening.
When Jonathan and Shawn walked in and saw that the whole front lawn had been completely torn up, they were stunned.
Then they spotted a bunch of housekeepers, all looking pale and freaked out. Jonathan rushed over, asking, “What happened here?”
One of the housekeepers stammered, glancing nervously toward the villa. “Uh, sir, maybe you should just go inside… You’ll see what’s going on for yourselves.”
Hearing that, the two brothers hurried toward the entrance.
