Chapter 85
One commented: [These little guys look just like dogs. How can they be wolves?]
Another commented: [Chubby babies, chubby babies. How did they get so fat in just ten days?]

Someone commented: [Sierra, you keep picking up wolves and sheep. Are you going to collect them all and bring them to the zoo someday?]
Sure, the zoo had wolves, but one wouldn’t find any Kaelenridge Sheep there yet.
Sierra would never take healthy wild animals out of the wild just to put them in a zoo.
Sierra said, “The little Kaelenridge Sheep earlier already found her mom and is now with the migrating herd. These two wolf pups were rescued later, and their dad is still hanging around nearby.”
With that, Sierra pointed her phone camera out the window.
Sunlight sparkled off the windows of the houses, and the sky was ablaze with color.
Herds of Kaelenridge Sheep were chilling as they crossed the street, without a care in the world. Cops were directing traffic, cars waited patiently, and people lined the sidewalks to watch the spectacle.
Some eagle-eyed viewers spotted seven or eight “dogs” standing on either side of the Kaelenridge Sheep.
One commented: [Are those even dogs?]
Another commented: [Wide muzzles, ears sticking straight up, tails tucked under, damn, those are wolves, not dogs!]
Someone commented: [Are people seriously mistaking those for dogs?]
One commented: [Is that really what we should be talking about? Shouldn’t we be losing our minds over how a whole wolf pack is just following along with the Kaelenridge Sheep?]
Someone commented: [Maybe you guys should check out whose babies Sierra’s got in her arms.]
One commented: [No wonder the wolves are acting so tame. Sierra’s basically holding the alpha’s kids hostage!]
A comment read: [Sierra’s too clever. She knows you gotta nab the boss first. With those pups in her arms, even the top dog has to play nice!]
One commented: [These wolves are herding like total pros. They could do a border collie’s job any day!]
Someone commented: [Speaking of border collies, Sierra, when are you gonna feature one on your stream? We’re dying to see it!]
Sierra looked down at the two wolf pups snuggling up to her. She almost wanted to set the record straight. It wasn’t what everyone thought.
But then she figured, why not let the chat have its fun with wild guesses? So she decided to just leave it be.
The Kaelenridge Sheep moved from the desert all the way to Lake Sylvenmir. The SUV’s wheels crunched over frosted earth as they finally arrived at the heart of the Coliburg Nature Reserve.
By mid-August, Lake Sylvenmir was at its lushest: endless grasslands teeming with wild yaks, Kaelenridge Sheep, and wild
asses.
The scenery was pure magic: stunning blue glaciers, sacred snow-capped peaks, sapphire lakes, and meadows carpeted with green grass and yellow wildflowers, all woven together in one breathtaking view.
The wildlife rescue team could finally relax, relieved that the Kaelenridge Sheep had made it safely to Lake Sylvenmir.
Chapter 85
In less than a month, the wolf pups were already running and jumping everywhere. They treated the alpha wolf’s paws like their personal chew toys, and whenever their biting got on his nerves, he’d just boot them off with his foot.
This year’s migration happened a month later than usual, but thankfully, the Kaelenridge Sheep moms all had their babies without much trouble, and there weren’t many losses this time.
By September, the baby Kaelenridge Sheep were all chubby and healthy, and the wolf pups were starting to get their baby teeth. The wildlife rescue team was getting ready to head back home.
When the wolf pups heard that Sierra was leaving, it was as if their whole world was crashing down.
One of the pups whined, “Mommy, are you leaving us behind?”
“Mommy, take us with you! We don’t want to stay with Dad!” the other pup pleaded.
The two wolf pups clung to Sierra’s pant legs like their lives depended on it, acting just like little kids throwing a tantrum. If they could, they’d probably stage a full-blown soap opera right there.
Sierra could only sigh, feeling helpless.
After spending so much time together, Sierra couldn’t bear to leave the two wolf pups behind. She’d bottle-fed them herself,
after all.
But with the alpha wolf looking after them, the pups had already managed to hunt down a rabbit a few days ago. They were better off out here in the wild than stuck in a zoo.
Sierra explained, “Your home is here, but mine is over 2,000 miles away in Aville. So I have to leave in a few days.”
The two wolf pups were growing up fast.
They were starting to understand that Sierra couldn’t really be their mom. Eventually, she’d have to return to her own life.
“But what if we miss you? Where’s Aville? Can we come find you someday?” one of the wolf pups whimpered.
It was a staggering 2,030 miles from Lake Sylvenmir to Aville. Other than birds, almost no animal could ever make a journey that long.
With this goodbye, there was a real chance Sierra and the wolf pups would never cross paths again for the rest of their lives.
But when she saw the two little pups crouched in the grass, tilting their heads and gazing up at her with those big, sparkling puppy eyes, Sierra just couldn’t say no. She nodded.
The two pups shared a determined glance, then promised in their tiny voices, “Mommy, when we grow up, we’ll come find you in Aville. No matter what!”
By late September, the grasslands were fading into yellow, and all the animals were once again gathering up for their big migration.
It was time for Sierra and her crew to head out as well.
Before heading out, Sierra made sure to say goodbye to the little Kaelenridge Sheep, the two wolf pups, and the alpha wolf.
Fifteen hours later, the plane finally touched down in Aville.
After months of non-stop work, Sierra told everyone to take a couple of days off and actually relax for once.
Her trip to Mount Kaelenridge had been so last-minute that her car was still parked at the school. She hadn’t even had a

chance to bring it back yet.
Sierra figured she’d just take a cab straight to the zoo.
Once the cab stopped, Sierra was heading past the security booth when she suddenly stopped in her tracks. She’d just spotted a familiar face. She did a double-take, unable to hide the shock and disbelief on her face.
“What are you doing here?” Sierra blurted out.
