Beast Tamer's Rebirth National Treasure Edition novel Chapter 93

Chapter 93

The street was packed as usual, and when a crow suddenly landed on someone, everyone turned to stare.

After bumping into the mancrow, the crow shook out its feathers and managed to take off again, though it was tough. It kept clawing and pecking at the guy with its sharp black beak, causing a commotion.

Even though it put up a fight, the collared crow was still just a bird against a grown man. All it did was leave a few scratches on his face.

Annoyed, the man snatched the collared crow out of the air.

He snapped, “Damn it! What the hell is your problem? Did I do something to you? Why keep following me? I’ll kill you!”

With that, he raised his hand high, ready to slam the crow to the ground

But just as he was about to let go, a cold, strong hand suddenly grabbed his wrist.

The guy, still fuming, didn’t even look up before he started cursing, “Damn it, are you tired of living or what?”

Mid-rant, he glanced up.

He met Sierra’s eyes: so cold they sent a chill down his spine. His words died in his throat.

Even with the mask on, he could tell she was both familiar and beautiful, but what really made him nervous was the pressure Sierra radiated.

Seeing her, his tone unconsciously softened. He stammered, “W-What do you want? This bird was pecking at me like it was nuts. I was just defending myself, that’s not over the line, is it?”

Even as he said that, his heart was pounding under Sierra’s frosty stare, and he couldn’t help but feel a little guilty.

Sierra didn’t say a word.

Thanks to the System, her physical abilities had multiplied who knows how many times. Even Ethan couldn’t compete with her now, let alone this guy who looked like a walking stick.

Face cold as ice, Sierra fixed her gaze on the collared crow struggling desperately in the man’s grip and snapped, “Let go!”

The man shot back, “No way! I’m gonna kill it today!”

A vicious glint flashed in his eyes.

Damn crow had been messing with him nonstop, nearly screwing up his whole scheme.

His anger just kept building, and his grip tightened around the collared crow until it shrieked in pain.

The crow cried, “It hurts! Please, help me. I don’t want to die. The lady’s still waiting for me.”

When Sierra heard the collared crow actually speak, she immediately felt something was off.

With a sudden burst of strength, Sierra forced the man’s hand down, her grip unyielding.

The sharp pain made the man scream, and he started shouting that she was murdering him.

But since the guy was about to kill the bird for no reason, the crowd just watched. Nobody wanted to get mixed up in this

mess.

Seeing this, the man cursed under his breath and threatened. “If you don’t let go, I’ll call the cops!”

Sierra didn’t flinch. Instead, she let out a cold laugh. She said, “Perfect. I just got out, and I wouldn’t mind going back in. But let me tell you: anyone who messes with me ends up behind bars!”

The man’s face went pale, panic rising in his chest. He said, “Damn it, who the hell are you? I can kill this bird if I want. What’s it to you? Who do you think you are?”

Before he could finish, a sharp pain shot through the back of his knee, and he sprawled face-first onto the ground in front of Sierra.

He turned his head and saw Elliot standing there, his face cold and expressionless.

“You…” the man stammered.

Elliot never said a word. He just stomped the guy’s other leg, and that was it-face-plant.

The man hit the dirt nose-first, arms flopping, too stunned to even curse, just lying there blinking at the dust.

Elliot shot him a glare and sneered, “Someone like you? Pathetic.”

He thought, ‘I never even got the chance to plant one knee for Sierra, and this clown’s eating dirt at her feet? Give me a break.

The guy was totally confused by Elliot’s words. Every time he tried to get up, Elliot just kicked him right back down. After a few tries, his legs felt like they were about to snap, so he finally gave up.

Sierra didn’t hold back at all.

The man could feel his wrist bones grinding under Sierra’s grip. In the end, he had no choice but to let go, and the collared crow freed itself and fell.

Only then did Sierra release the man, catching the collared crow just before it hit the ground.

Sierra held the crow close, checking its wings. When she saw the bone was broken, her expression turned even colder.

Before she could say anything, the man scrambled on the ground, pointing at Sierra and cursing, “Hey, this is a law-abiding society! You think you can just beat people up? I’m calling the cops!”

“Be my guest,” Sierra replied coolly. Suddenly, she shot him a question, “Do you even know what kind of bird this is?”

The man blinked, looking at the collared crow. He asked, “What?”

Sierra’s voice was icy as she said, “It’s a collared crow, a protected species by law.”

Seeing the guy still totally lost, Sierra didn’t mind schooling him a bit. She explained, “It’s a collared crow, a wild animal that’s crucial to the country’s ecology, research, and social value.

“Let me think. How many years did that guy get for deliberately harming a protected animal recently?”

The man’s face darkened.

Sierra said, “Oh, right, I think he got more than seven years.”

The man’s face turned ashen.

He instinctively glanced at the battered collared crow cradled in Sierra’s arms.

He thought. ‘Damn, this stupid bird is actually a protected species?’

He quickly realized he couldn’t admit anything. He said. “This bird kept attacking me! I was just defending myself I didn’t mean to hurt it? And I had no idea what kind of bird it w

Just then, the collared crow in Sierra’s arms stirred, its black eyes locking onto the man before it started squawking

The crow said. “Don’t believe him! This guy’s a total scumbag. He’s a repeat robber and a thief. He just stole a lady’s life- saving money and even pushed her to the ground”

The little crow was frantic.

It knew these humans couldn’t understand a word it was saying, but it was really worried about the old lady

It cried. “I don’t want that lady to die! And her husband is still stuck in the hospital waiting for her to save hum

Sierra’s face turned cold as she stared the guy down. She said. “Crows are smart. If you hadn’t done anything had, it wouldn’t be chasing you and pecking at you

“I didn’t” the man yelled shaking his head like crazy. He insisted. It’s just a damn bird? What does it know anyway?”

The collared crow squawked “Bullshit! I know exactly what you did. I know everything”

Then, the little crow lifted its head, its bright black eyes blinking. It said Preny human don’t listen to him That lady samed my life. She feeds me every day, so I’ve been staying near her house to watch over her.

Three days ago, her husband suddenly had a brain hemorrhage and was rushed to the hospital I overheard the doctor telling the lady through the window that the surgery would cost a fortune

The collared crow flapped its wings, squawking out all Fabian’s dirty deeds

Even though it knew none of the people around could make sense of its words.

But it still kept praying for some kind of justice to come down, so everyone would finally see Fabian for the villain he really
