Biker's Claim The Broken Angel is Mine (Cora and Jake) novel Chapter 179

Chapter 179

Chapter 179

Coins (Demetri) POV

Xavier and I are starting to have a better relationship. I wasn’t treating him like a son, but as an equal. I didn’t feel I deserved to see him as my son-in-law since I had never raised my daughter. can’t help feeling I didn’t deserve any of that title in her life; we are becoming close friends, and that’s not a bad thing. If anything, it might be better that I see him as a friend and trust him with Cora. I don’t need to give him guidance in everyday things, or order him to be good to her; I can already see he is good, and the love in his eyes can’t be faked when he looks at her

We finish the bikes and get ready, then the fun starts.

Where are the girls hiding?

I knew Ruby would never leave without me, not that she would, because Ruby had no idea where the clubhouse was, and the men would contact me if she asked to leave.

Third time lucky.

The two were dressed in the leather outfit I had seen in her wardrobe; she said it was for the party, and my pants tightened at the sight. They both looked amazing, more like sisters, although Ruby was the older one; but dressed like that, she didn’t look that much older.

But when that white plastic stick was on display, and both of them had one, my heart soared. I knew exactly what it was; I had had a girl or two over the years try to trick me with one, but no way was Ruby trying to trick me. Her eyes held doubt; did she think I wouldn’t be happy?

I swooped her up, spinning her around, as I whispered how pleased I was in her ear, then heard her giggling,

Yeah, I am getting a second chance to be a dad, a real dad. I never dreamed I would ever have this chance, and this child would be spoiled. I turned and gave Cora the same treatment.

“Thank you, I am going to be the best grandpa,” I whispered as I twirled her around.

“You deserve to be both, a Dad and a grandpa.” Cora giggled back.

We all turned and stared at Xavier, who looked perplexed at what all my excitement was about.

Cora soon sorted him out, and we were now on the way to the clubhouse. It’s not like the clubhouse Xavier would be expecting; it was more like a ballroom. It had many smaller buildings on a large property. As the club grew, so did the halls. Now we have one that will hold a lot of people and leave room to expand. That was the key, being able to expand. That’s where we went wrong in the beginning; we never thought we would grow this large. Two thousand plus children

makes this one of the largest in the country, and I am proud of every one of them.

One routine thing is our security vetting each member bi-annually; it may sound harsh, but we can’t take that risk. That’s where Oddball went wrong; too trusting. He believed what he inherited was alt loyal. I might like to believe all my men are loyal, but it doesn’t hurt to double-check every few. years, rather than find out when you are stabbed in the back. That’s part of what my father and his ways taught me: even family can stab you in the back. Just look at my father and my greedy mother; no amount of money was enough for them, and they wanted to be like kings and queens.

The grand gates were open; men were by them, inspecting vehicles, ensuring they were members and family; no uninvited guests came today. We bypassed the inspection, and so did those following behind me, the gates nodding or saluting at me as I entered. The road was long and winding; we didn’t want to be seen or heard from the road if some straggler was driving past. Mind you, when we have live bands playing, the sound can travel a long way.

We went to the car park; a cordoned-off section that was for us. We had a large car parking area; any shopping centre would be jealous to have. Shade cloth overhead, ensuring all bikes and cars

were under shade.

Today was a special day. We have more than Cora, Ruby and Xavier joining the club; we have four prospects becoming patched, which will be announced first, then the new joiners, all getting new names, and the announcement of my wedding. I will hold off on the baby news, as I don’t want them to think I had married Ruby because she was carrying my child. Those who have been with me a long time would know it would never have happened, but some, especially women who have been trying to get into my bed, might spread that suggestion; good thing non-patched girls aren’t

invited.

I stopped at my reserved place; no one would dare park here. Their vehicle would be towed away before the motor had a chance to cool. Turned off the motor, let Ruby dismount, then kicked the side stand and climbed off myself.

Members had observed us arrive and were standing around, waiting and watching.

Ruby, Xavier, and Cora greeted Hacker and Scrubs with squeals and handshakes; I, too, shook their hands and welcomed them to our clubhouse.

I led them to my VP and enforcer, who were waiting near the main stage.

“You already know my VP, Danny, and enforcers Dontae and Lewis.” They were among the twenty men who had been their protectors, and knew more than most in the room. I keep little from these

trusted three.

“Welcome to our clubhouse, and soon-to-be club members.” They shook hands and were polite than I had expected; normally, they give me grief.

“I noticed you don’t have odd road names,” Ruby said, looking at Danny and Lewis.

“These are our road names. I was told I look like Danny.” Danny laughed, and he was right. His rea

hen the part that had my heart in my throat: I had thought about how to present this; it was difficult, and with the help of Danny, I made a choice that I would have to live with.

“We have three new members today. Can the three of you come forward?” Danny called out to them, and eyes followed them to the stage.

“Welcome to Where the Road Leads, or WTRL for short.” Lewis handed the cut to Danny; he unfolded it, checked it over, and then handed it to me with a smile.

I moved to Xavier and opened it out for him to slide his arms in.

“As of today, you will be known as Grease, our new enforcer,” I said. I thought it was fitting with him being a mechanic, and even if he never lifts a spanner again, he will always remember where he

Lewis handed Danny the next folded cut, and Danny opened it before handing it to me.
