Biker's Claim The Broken Angel is Mine (Cora and Jake) novel Chapter 68

Chapter 68

Gunner POV

That’s correct, Cora and Hasker are working on trying to identify which driver comes this way. We will head back in the morning and should be back by lunchtirne, depending on when we leave. It appears this is where the driver leaves his vehicle. Maybe we can have someone here when the van arrives and put a tracker on his vehicle in case he manages to elude us.I suggest that the brain works on the logistics for remotearea reconnaissance.

If more than one person were doing this, we would have to start all over again, taking out one at a time. For now, let’s work on one area at a time and use this area as a training ground. For the next one, I will depend on you to do the groundwork, once we locate the vehicle. We want the person alive if possible.

Oddball threw out his thoughts, aloud.

What about his truck? If we apprehend him, what do we do? Leave it here? if it had a GPS from the company, they would know where the van was parked and could report him missing. That vehicle was our only worry, as it could link back to us after being seen there.

We get one of the guys, in a hazmat suit, in the night to take the van and move it to another site, as if he continued on his route. If we lose the guy, he will report the van missing and might be nervous about staying the night again for a while, but we will have other opportunities. We will have a face to that shooter, and if lucky, a name, for us to find his home. Don’t worry, we got this. Get some sleep and return. We have to make plans if he’s due next week.Oddball and I finished up our talk. We can’t proceed until we have more information from Hacker and Cora.

Cora, my Cora.

That girl jumped into our lives by accident, and look at her soar.

Zipping her into my bedroll, making it a tight squeeze, had me hard as a rock. The moment her warm body was against mine, what could I say? I am a redblooded man, with all the same needs as most men, and having a stunning, warm, soft body against mine, how could I not react?

Another first with my girl.

The coupling is too fast and restrictive. I am going to have to buy a new bedroll that can better accommodate the two of us. Not that I am complaining, but if either of us needs to roll over or stretch, that won’t happen; you are stuck in that position for the night.

Yeah, a bigger bedroll, so I can turn my girl over, without too much hassle, and pound her bones till she calls my name. Coming from the back is okay, but I want to see her face, in the moonlight, as she screams out my narne. However, it was so satisfying, the caveman in me, when my Babe screamed my name in the dark, letting the whole camp know I had satisfied her and knew she was mine, and only mine.

Sharing the body warmth soon had me falling asleep. I never had trouble sleeping out under the stars. I am a light sleeper out here, but that doesn’t mean I don’t get some sleep. It’s a different kind of sleep, part

The sound of a heavy haulage truck, air brakes, slowing to stop at the service station woke me, the sun just changing the sky’s hues to pink and orange. Cora was still asleep in my arms, and I loathed to wake her, but it was time, if we wanted to get home by lunchtime.

Cora.I kissed her neck and moved to unzip the bedroll. My body feels the fresh morning air in an instant. I sat and stretched, looking around at the guys still sleeping. We hadn’t set guards last night, didn’t think

we needed to, not yet anyway. I reached out to Cora and gently shook her shoulder.

Cora, it’s time to wake up.

Five more minutes,Cora moaned. Her sexy morning croak had me getting hard.

Not now, I growled at my body for responding to her voice, her soft body.

Cora, it’s time; we need to head back.I tried again, leaning down and kissing her shoulder.

Okay, Okay, I am up.Cora sat up and looked around.

Oh, forgot we were here.

I take that you had a good night’s sleep.I chuckled as she grinned at me.

Warm and toasty, no stones eating me. Although you might want to do something about your arms, they

are too hard to be pillows. She touched my biceps and squeezed them.

See too hard for sleeping on.She giggled and blushed at the same time.

Maybe use your shirt as a softener. There is not much I can do with the muscles,I chuckled at the absurdity of this conversation.

We dressed, and Cora left to get breakfast while I shook out the bedroll, rolled it back up, tied it to the back of the bike, and started the bike up, which woke the others, as they sat up and watched me ride

around the side of the building.

They would get up and prepare to leave. I headed to the bathroom and completed my routine. I found Cora sitting at a table in the café, two coffees and two baconandegg burgers waiting for us for breakfast, and some snacks and two bottles of water beside the burgers.

Hey, ready?I asked as I sat down, and Cora pushed a coffee and a burger in my direction. I picked up one of the coffees and took a sip. Ah, strong and hot, how I like it first thing in the morning. We ate as the others arrived and grabbed food, a lot more than we had, but they were growing ladies, riding, driving, on any trip. We are all different. Some eat all the time, while others hardly eat at all because they are not physically active and don’t expend much energy. I do not eat because I’m bored or sitting all day.

Will be back.I greeted the manager as he walked by. He nodded and continued on his way to his office.

Back on the bikes, it didn’t take long to get back into the groove. The sun broke over the horizon as we rode; that sight never gets old. Cora tapped my leg and pointed to the sun.

Look, the sun.

Yes, the sunrise and sunset on a bike are spectacular.I agreed. Cora pulled closer to me, resting her head on my back, her face looking towards the rising sun, the hues of the sky, losing the pinks and oranges, and the day was fully awake. We wound through the countryside, Cora telling us about things she saw as we rode. It was different having her at the back. Her running commentary made me aware of things I had taken for granted, and with Cora, I was enjoying the ride in a different way. She would tap my thigh and offer me water, or something to nibble on. I gladly accepted it each time, to make Cora happy, as if she were contributing to our ride, and she was in her own way.

The ride back was uneventful. We weren’t searching the bushes for traps; it was a clean, enjoyable ride,

and I hope Cora has enjoyed it as much as I did. I am looking forward to our ride in two weeks. It’s going

to be fun, a new experience for me, too, trying to show Cora our ways, and I hope she likes it. So far, she
