"Good thing Sebastian has quick reflexes to protect Seraphina. Don't go flattering yourself thinking he was trying to save you, Raelynn. That would just be embarrassing," Leo added with a mocking smirk.

Sebastian's expression remained perfectly blank. He didn't bother denying Leo's claim.

Raelynn understood perfectly. If that pot had fallen, it could have splashed Seraphina.

Sebastian wasn't protecting her. He was shielding the love of his life, and Raelynn just happened to be in the way.

He immediately dropped her wrist, pulling his hand back as if trying to prove his loyalty.

I'll make sure everyone knows how narrow-minded I am for interrupting her little affair with my husband. After all, I'm not like Ms. Vance, who's absolutely dying to be a home-wrecker, and I'm certainly not like Mr. Croix, who clearly loves playing house with two women at once."
