Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 121

Or maybe, given how little he cared about her, he hadn't even noticed she'd moved out. Was that why he arranged to meet at the marital home?

Raelynn didn't dwell on the ridiculous thought.

After arriving at the Croix marital home, she stepped into the living room.

Five maids were busy working, currently slicing fruit in the kitchen.

Mary had taken the day off, so when Raelynn didn't see her, she turned to the others. "Is Sebastian back yet?"

"Mr. Croix isn't home yet, but a friend of his came over today," one of the younger maids replied, looking a little uneasy.

Raelynn checked the time and asked casually, "Who?"

"Mr. Yves."

Julian?

Raelynn frowned instinctively.

She didn't exactly have a favorable impression of the man. Born at the very top of the pyramid, his arrogant nature was impossible to hide, and he had never liked her. Their interactions were rarely pleasant.

"Where is he?"

"Having tea in the backyard." The maid hesitated, ultimately deciding not to mention that someone else was there too.

Raelynn nodded. Not wanting to sit around waiting for Sebastian, she decided to check the master bedroom for anything she might have missed packing. Getting a head start wouldn't hurt.

The moment she stepped into the master bedroom...

Her senses flared.

The custom-designed gallery wall... was empty.

Her wedding photos with Sebastian were gone.

Raelynn froze in her tracks.

She stared at the blank wall for a long moment until a maid happened to walk in with fresh laundry.

Raelynn pointed at the empty space. "Where are the wedding photos?"

The maid stammered nervously. "Ma'am, please don't be mad. The photos were taken down and moved to the backyard. We tried to stop it, but we couldn't..."

Tearing apart her and Sebastian's bedroom?

She never imagined this brat would march into her home and start calling the shots like he already owned the place!

Julian was on a call nearby.

Hearing the commotion, he turned around.

He glanced at Shane, privately admitting the kid lacked basic manners, yet he did nothing to intervene.

Instead, he flashed a half-smile at the ashen-faced Raelynn. "He's just a kid. You wouldn't actually hold this against him, would you?"

Raelynn ignored the sheer audacity of his words.

Treating Julian as if he were completely invisible.

Her face was an icy mask as she strode straight toward Shane.

"What are you doing? Are you trying to hit me? You wicked witch! If you dare, my brother-in-law will teach you a lesson!" Remembering the discipline Raelynn had handed him last time, Shane shrank back in instinctual fear.

But then he remembered where he was—in a place that protected him.

Bending down, he snatched a heavy, solid wood photo frame from the pile and hurled it at Raelynn with all his might.
