Raelynn stared at Blanche, who was putting on a perfectly helpless act.
This woman had destroyed her mother's marriage, driven Raelynn out of her childhood home, and left her to fend for herself for years. Meanwhile, she and her daughter waltzed into her home, soaking up the wealth and luxury. And now... she had the nerve to stand here and advise Raelynn to hand over her husband.
Raelynn's lips curled up slightly, her voice chillingly precise. "Did Sebastian ask you two to come here and demand a title for her?"
Seraphina looked down her nose at Raelynn. "There are things Sebastian obviously can't say out loud. Did you expect him to literally tell you to pack your bags and get out of the Croix estate?"
"Let's just keep this between us and handle it quietly," Blanche added, her face a mask of sincerity. "Once you're divorced, no one will even know you were married for seven years. Keeping it a secret that you slept with a man for that long will make it easier for you to remarry. We're doing this for your own good."
Looking at Blanche's earnest expression, Raelynn felt violently disgusted.
It was the pinnacle of sheer hypocrisy.
She let out a short laugh, though her eyes remained entirely devoid of warmth. "If you two want my secondhand trash so badly, you're going to have to beg for it. Then maybe I'll consider handing him over."
Seraphina's face drained of color.
She couldn't believe Raelynn had the audacity to say something so insulting.
Blanche's sickeningly sweet facade finally cracked. "Raelynn, you are completely out of your mind!"
Raelynn couldn't be bothered to argue.
Wasting her energy on garbage people was no different than wrestling with a ghost.
Ignoring their furious glares, she turned on her heel and walked away.
Chloe had just wrapped up the bulk of her work.
When Raelynn found her, she was still in high spirits. "Thank God Sebastian had some emergency. Seraphina almost got exactly what she wanted. She actually tried to use this broadcast to mark her territory? Delusional!"
Dragging Sebastian onto live television with her?
