Seraphina smiled. "It's good that you're willing to listen to my advice."
Leo Flynn had grown increasingly close to her ever since she saved his grandfather. He took her words to heart.
Sebastian Croix slipped his phone into his pocket and looked up. "Aren't you going to run a risk assessment and check the feasibility report?"
It was a standard procedure before any investment. Let the data do the talking.
Leo shrugged indifferently. "I was originally going to consult Raelynn for some insider info, but she was putting on airs. I don't have to throw my money at NexusMind. Since Sera also said the feasibility is low, it doesn't matter if we pass on it."
He simply didn't believe the project would succeed. If it actually did, it would disrupt the entire industry. Earning a core tech patent could push their market cap into the tens of billions of dollars. But he didn't trust NexusMind to have that kind of capability yet.
Rather than investing in NexusMind, he'd be better off backing Seraphina's smart triage robot later.
Sebastian didn't offer an opinion on that. He simply noted, "NexusMind has already secured tens of millions in their first round of financing. They don't lack investors."
That statement caught both Leo and Seraphina off guard.
That much? It was completely unexpected.
Sebastian looked down to reply to a work message. "Word is already out that Faye will be at the helm. A lot of people are flocking to her name."
This time, the smile faded from Leo's face, replaced by deep thought.
Had he miscalculated?
A flash of surprise crossed Seraphina's eyes. She suddenly remembered that Raelynn Ortiz was currently at NexusMind.
Would Preston Moreno... continue to keep Raelynn in the project just to let her effortlessly rake in the dividends?

When Raelynn arrived, Chloe Hudson's documentary crew was still setting up their cameras.
The shoot was scheduled for another three days. Fortunately, the crew didn't disrupt their normal work routine. It was as if they weren't even there, using either fixed setups or remote recording.
Raelynn spent a few hours at the clinical center.
