Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 205

Raelynn shoved against his chest. "Don't touch me."

Her forceful movement made her sway dangerously on her feet.

Sebastian stared at her, let out a soft scoff, and completely ignored her resistance. He scooped her up effortlessly and carried her toward the bed.

Before she could even protest, she was placed on the mattress.

"The hotel sent up some medicine. Take it." Sebastian, wearing nothing but a fresh towel around his waist, sat down in the nearby chair and handed her a few pills.

He had already placed a glass of warm water on the nightstand.

Throughout the entire ordeal, his face remained devoid of any warmth. His expression was cold, bordering on indifferent.

He looked like a man merely fulfilling a basic humanitarian obligation.

"Thank you. I'll take it. You can leave now," Raelynn said, trying to keep her tone as civil as possible.

He stretched his long legs out and replied flatly, "I will, right after you swallow them."

His gaze was sharp and predatory.

He knew exactly what she was thinking.

He knew better than anyone how much she despised taking pills.

Biting her lip, Raelynn snatched the medicine from his palm and washed it down with the water, keeping her face completely blank.

The bitter taste didn't even phase her.

After all, the bitterness she had endured from the man sitting in front of her was far worse.

"Satisfied?" she asked, grabbing the alarm clock from the nightstand and setting it for 6:30 PM.

Sebastian's dark eyes locked onto her. Her face was pale, but the utter rejection in her gaze was unmistakable.

He took the empty glass from her hand. "Go to sleep."

She watched him walk out the door.

Only then did she finally let out a long breath.

She wrapped herself tightly in the blankets, desperate for sleep.

She still had to meet Luke tonight to negotiate the investment. She couldn't afford to mess this up.

Even if she felt like death, she had to go.

The sudden movement made the room spin violently.

The door swung open.

As Sebastian stepped inside with his long, confident strides, Raelynn stared at him in confusion. "Why are you still here?"

He was fully dressed now, smelling faintly of a fresh shower.

He completely ignored her hostile tone.

Walking over, he grabbed a thermometer, gently brushed the sweaty hair from her forehead, and took her temperature. His dark eyes briefly swept over the tiny, faded scar near her temple—usually hidden by her hair—before he pulled away without a word.

"98.8. It went down," he noted.

"I asked why you're still here. Where is my phone?"

Her head throbbed as she patted the blankets, searching blindly.

Sebastian watched her frantic movements, casually twirling the thermometer in his hand. "It fell in the pool. The staff hasn't found it yet."

Raelynn froze in dead silence.

So... she had completely stood Luke up?
