The situation with Ian Hudson... he certainly hadn't forgotten it.
He stepped directly into Raelynn's path. "We have a pretty extensive archery range on the grounds. A lot of the potential partners NexusMind is looking for are over there right now. Care to join the fun?"
Raelynn thought for a moment.
The guests today were all heavyweights in the medical field. It was an incredibly rare networking opportunity.
She agreed. "Sure."
Julian then turned to Sebastian's group. "Let's all head over."
He added to Seraphina, "Networking will make your project's future development much smoother."
Seraphina could tell Julian was genuinely looking out for her. Even if Dr. Hayes wouldn't give her the time of day, she was still close with Julian, which pleased her immensely.
Raelynn couldn't care less about them.
Business was about individual capability anyway.
Chloe, however, curled her lip. "Don't sweat it. Once my brother gets here, he'll introduce us. NexusMind will have partners knocking down our door."
They arrived at their destination.
It was a massive, dedicated archery range. The outdoor setting made it much more engaging than an indoor setup.
It spanned a large area, and a sizable crowd was already shooting arrows and casually discussing deals.
Raelynn wasn't surprised by this scene at all. This was how the elite circle operated.
Deals and resource exchanges weren't always hammered out in stuffy boardrooms; they were often finalized over a casual game.
However.
As soon as she walked up, she spotted Luke Sterling in the distance, clinking glasses and chatting animatedly.
Luke glanced over, his eyes lighting up in surprise when he saw Raelynn. Without hesitation, he strode toward her, his gaze sweeping over her form with burning intensity. "I texted you. Why didn't you reply?"
He didn't think there was anything inappropriate about asking her point-blank.
A confident man didn't need to stand on ceremony.
Luke was so blunt that Sebastian, walking up behind them, heard every word.
He shot them a slow, measured look.
Leo was utterly perplexed.
