Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 31

Raelynn felt her emotions pushed to an absolute breaking point.

Humiliation, disgust, anger, and terror warred inside her, leaving her utterly exhausted.

She knew what she was doing.

Only by reacting this extremely would they back off and stop demanding to see her phone.

She had secrets. She couldn't afford to gamble, not even a little.

Julian was briefly taken aback. Wasn't Raelynn being a bit too intense? All this over a phone?

For a moment, the room fell dead silent.

Even Shane Vance forgot to keep up his fake crying, turning from Seraphina Vance's embrace to stare at Raelynn.

Sebastian Croix's expression barely shifted, but his gaze turned cold and unreadable, as desolate as a midnight in midwinter. His gaze slowly dropped from Raelynn's face to the shattered phone on the floor.

"Looks like I'm not allowed to see it?"

Raelynn was never one to lose control of her emotions so easily.

Her behavior today made it seem like... she had some dark secret hiding in that device.

The atmosphere was suffocatingly tense.

Ignoring everyone's reactions and refusing to answer Sebastian, Raelynn bent down and picked up the broken pieces of her phone.

She turned to Seraphina. "Nobody wants to look at trash, and nobody likes keeping garbage on their phone. You opened your mouth and started making baseless accusations, trying to invade my privacy. You started this, so you're paying for the phone."

Seraphina immediately frowned.

"I wasn't the one who smashed it. Are you completely unreasonable?"

Raelynn wiped the dust off the cracked screen. "You try to sleep with another woman's husband, playing the mistress while acting like a saint, and now you want to preach to me about reason?"

Seraphina's face turned icy.

Raelynn's words were entirely too vulgar and totally inappropriate for polite society!

Sebastian also knew the remark was out of line.

His deep eyes sharpened. "Do I need to teach you how to watch your mouth?"

Lately, Raelynn seemed to have grown a spine of steel—or perhaps, this was who she had always been.

His urge to protect the other woman was painfully obvious. Raelynn clenched her fists. "Oh, my mistake. I forgot Ms. Vance is a public figure and can't afford a scandal about hooking up with her ex-fiancé's cousin. I'll be more careful next time."

Seraphina's expression twisted.

Raelynn was showing her true, gutter-bred colors!
