Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 326

Afraid Raelynn wasn't getting the hint, Leo added, "Just drop the 'Mrs. Croix' fantasy for today. Save everyone the embarrassment and keep things dignified."

Raelynn's lips pressed into a tight line.

He was warning her not to leak the truth and embarrass Seraphina.

Seraphina was meant to be the sole star of the show today.

Understanding that Leo was defending her, Seraphina covered her mouth and giggled lightly. "Leo, I'm going to find Sebastian. It's his birthday today, and I bought us matching cufflinks. I need to make sure he puts them on."

Leo immediately grinned. "Then there won't be a soul in this room who doesn't know about you two."

Having absolutely no interest in listening to them banter, Raelynn cast a brief glance at the gift box in Seraphina's hand, turned around, and walked away.

Wearing matching couples' jewelry at a Croix family event. It seemed the two of them really were paving the way to the altar.

-

When Seraphina found Sebastian, he was adjusting his tie.

She walked over, brimming with joy. "Sebastian, I had a custom gift made just for you. Square diamond cufflinks. Shall I put them on for you?"

Sebastian lowered his gaze.

He noticed the necklace resting on Seraphina's collarbone.

It was the exact same design as the cufflinks in her palm.

The woman's eyes were filled with sweet, honeyed anticipation.

He gestured to his own lapel. "I'm already wearing a brooch."

Seraphina looked.

Her brow furrowed involuntarily.

It was that same Sapphire Butterfly Brooch. The one that matched Raelynn's.

And it seemed Raelynn had worn hers again today too.

Displeasure flashed in her eyes.

Raelynn's petty little schemes couldn't be more blatantly obvious!

"That's alright, you can just take it off. The cufflinks have a bit more elegance to them," she said smoothly, reaching out to unpin it.

But before her fingers could touch it.

A smiling voice came from behind. "Sebastian, your grandmother wants a word."

Seraphina was forced to stop.

Sebastian looked up and met the eyes of his father, Cyrus Croix.

Seraphina was actually quite intimidated by Cyrus. Despite his genial appearance, he was Sebastian's father, and the man was far more formidable than his pleasant demeanor suggested.

Cyrus glanced at Seraphina, his tone mild but firm. "Those cufflinks aren't appropriate. Sebastian doesn't care for anything overly flashy. You should be more mindful when choosing gifts in the future."
