As Seraphina's voice faded, Raelynn almost thought she'd misheard.
Seraphina raised an eyebrow with a smile, "A high-stakes investment to put me among NexusMind's shareholders. I can also add a boost to NexusMind. Will you consider it, Mr. Moreno?"
Honestly, Seraphina felt there was nothing to consider.
She was bringing in capital; they had no reason to refuse.
Initially, she had wanted to invest directly in NexusMind's newly launched surgical tumor robot.
However, that would make her ulterior motives too obvious.
A roundabout approach was better.
Buying shares directly.
That way, she could still reap the dividends from the NexusMind device.
Offsetting the recent scandals surrounding her own projects.
This would effectively put a highly sought-after project under her belt.
After all, a rising tide lifted all boats.
Even the developer behind the robot wouldn't object. Why refuse something that brought them tangible benefits?
"You've got a lot of nerve," Raelynn retorted, her beautiful eyes turning sharp.
She hadn't expected Seraphina to be so brazen.
After failing on her own, she was turning around to leech off Raelynn's project, and anticipating they wouldn't let her invest midway, Seraphina was trying to buy directly into the company.
She was aiming to use Raelynn's success to gild her own reputation.
As Raelynn spoke, a flash of displeasure crossed Seraphina's face. "This really isn't your place to interfere."
She couldn't understand why Preston continued to let Raelynn meddle in the company's core business.
Even if Raelynn was their MVP right now, that didn't give her the right to act so arrogantly.
