Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 425

Raelynn knew exactly what she meant.

The Matriarch was dangling the threat of revoking their divorce certificate over her head again.

Frustratingly, she had been too impatient back then and opted to use a VIP fast-track with Sebastian. Because of that, their divorce wasn't officially logged into the standard system until a mandated "cooling-off period" expired.

Until that window closed, the divorce could be canceled at any moment.

It was an absolute nightmare.

"I—"

"Are you planning to stand over our bed and supervise?"

Sebastian interjected smoothly, not even looking up from his screen.

Matilda's face instantly twisted in shock at his blatant vulgarity. "What kind of nonsense is that?!"

He turned off his tablet, his dark eyes entirely devoid of emotion. "Then why work yourself up into a panic? Raelynn and I have no intention of pursuing that right now."

Raelynn stayed silent.

Though her lips twitched in a faint, cynical smirk.

This was the only subject that would ever force Sebastian to take a hard stance.

Because he was fiercely guarding his romantic loyalty to Seraphina.

Before Matilda could explode.

Sebastian looked her dead in the eye, his tone unwavering. "Perhaps you should learn to accept our decisions instead of trying to force your own agenda."

Having ruled with an iron fist her entire life, Matilda turned a ghastly shade of pale at being lectured so brazenly by her own grandson.

The benevolent facade she usually maintained completely crumbled.

She stood up, trembling with rage. "You had a perfectly good marriage! Why are you throwing it away?!"

Sebastian leaned back slightly, casting a lazy, sidelong glance at Raelynn. "Yes. Why exactly couldn't we make it work?"

A sudden chill shot down Raelynn's spine.

When she looked back, Sebastian was already on his feet. His towering frame exuded a suffocating dominance. "It's time for you to go home."

Clearly, this attempt at coercion was a spectacular failure.

Matilda stormed out in a furious huff.

Sebastian always appeared calm and reasonable, giving the illusion that he could be negotiated with, but in reality, he was an immovable wall.

This was the first time he had so openly defied his grandmother regarding this issue.

He outright refused to have a child with Raelynn, refusing to forge any permanent ties with her.

Watching from the sidelines, Raelynn saw it all with crystal clarity.
