Raelynn had no idea Sebastian was standing right there.
Let alone that he would actually speak up.
It instantly struck her rawest nerve.
Traditional medicine was deeply complex, and this was where its true power lay. Even though she had given birth years ago, a true master could still feel the signs just by taking her pulse.
Preston hadn't anticipated this situation at all.
Suddenly, an indescribably eerie tension fell over the group.
The Elder Physician, unaware of the tangled drama, spoke plainly. "This young lady's pulse suggests a severe state of physical exhaustion and systemic depletion. It's as if her body suffered a major toll and never fully recovered."
Sebastian's gaze slowly drifted downward.
It landed on the back of Raelynn's head; she hadn't moved an inch.
His dark eyebrows furrowed almost imperceptibly. His tone betrayed no emotion. "Could you be mistaken?"
Seraphina hadn't expected this little incident to suddenly draw Sebastian's attention to Raelynn.
She pressed her lips tightly together and shot The Elder Physician a look.
A look full of hidden resentment.
She thought the old man was just spouting nonsense!
Was traditional medicine really that magical? Could you just feel everything from a pulse?
Besides.
When had Raelynn ever given birth?
It was more likely that Raelynn was completely barren. Otherwise, after all these years, anyone else would have had a kid by now.
Either Raelynn was infertile.
Or Sebastian simply refused to let her have his child.
She figured both were highly possible.
With Sebastian pressing the issue, a cold sweat broke out on Raelynn's forehead.
This wasn't like the curious young mother from before.
This was a verified medical master. If Sebastian became suspicious...
Raelynn gritted her teeth.
She was terrified the old doctor would drop another bombshell and confirm to Sebastian that she had a child.
The Elder Physician's fingers were still resting on Raelynn's wrist.
"That logic is flawed," Preston said coldly. "When a couple can't conceive, why is it that you only stare at the woman and shift the blame? Could it be that certain men—the husbands—have zero self-control, terrible lifestyle habits, and pathetic sperm quality? Instead of making women suffer through pills and injections, maybe we should be checking if the men actually function properly!"
Leo choked on his words.
He instinctively glanced at Sebastian, who hadn't said a word.
Sebastian didn't look angry at Preston's remark.
The Elder Physician also chimed in slowly, "Makes sense to me. Aside from the depleted vitality, this young lady's body is in perfect working order."
Preston finally cracked a smile. "So it's the guy's problem then. Raelynn, who is your husband? Call him over and get him treated right away."
Raelynn and Leo were both speechless.
Seraphina's expression faltered.
She was still hoping to secure a partnership with Preston's NexusMind, so even though she was furious, she held her tongue and refused to argue.
Except...
She instinctively cast a nervous glance toward the nearby media.
She believed she had always acted with perfect grace.
But there was no guarantee Raelynn wouldn't try to smear her on purpose.

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
