Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 464

Meeting Sebastian Croix's chilling gaze, Cameron Croix felt an involuntary shudder run down his spine. But when it came to the humiliation he'd suffered over Seraphina Vance, he absolutely refused to swallow his pride.

Sebastian didn't even look back, nor did he spare a glance to see if Raelynn Ortiz had been hurt. He simply directed a glacial stare at Cameron. "Get out now. Stop making a fool of yourself."

Gritting his teeth, Cameron shot Raelynn a vicious glare before finally pushing himself up. After all, this was the Hudson family's territory. If he kept causing a scene, his grandfather back overseas would never let him hear the end of it.

Raelynn watched as Sebastian walked right back to Seraphina's side and murmured something to her, prompting Seraphina to cling to the cuff of his sleeve like a lifeline.

By the time Ian Hudson got the news and crossed two banquet halls to reach them, he found Raelynn leaning against the wall with a slight frown, one foot lifted slightly as she massaged it.

He immediately noticed the angry red flush around her ankle. Catching sight of Sebastian standing defensively over Seraphina out of the corner of his eye, Ian didn't hesitate. He closed the distance and swept Raelynn into his arms.

Raelynn gasped in shock.

"I'm taking you to sit down so we can look at that," Ian said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

With so many guests watching, Raelynn couldn't exactly put up a fight. She could only murmur a quiet thank you. Holding her securely, Ian walked right past Sebastian and Seraphina.

Sebastian's eyes remained dead and freezing the entire time, but he made no move to stop them, staring straight ahead as they passed. It was as if Raelynn had nothing to do with him anymore.

Raelynn looked up at him.

"Look, I don't know how the hell you managed to become a professor at Kingsford University," Leo muttered, "but my grandpa thinks highly of you. I want you to make time to come to the Flynn estate with me to see him."

Earlier, when Mr. Flynn Sr. heard news of Raelynn, he had been ecstatic, singing her praises non-stop. Leo figured that if he brought Raelynn to his grandfather, he might be forgiven for his recent catastrophic investment failures. If he was truly exiled from the main company for a year, his uncles would tear his assets to shreds.

Raelynn knew perfectly well that Louis Flynn was only thrilled because he had realized she was his savior. She fully intended to visit the older man eventually—but she certainly wasn't going to do it as Leo's pawn to help him save face.

She leveled him with a deadpan stare. "What exactly makes you think you have any sway with me?"
