Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 472

After leaving the private dining room, Seraphina was walking past a secluded corner when a hand shot out, grabbed her arm, and violently yanked her into the stairwell.

A heavy hand clamped over her mouth. Her eyes widened in pure terror as she found herself staring into the unhinged face of Cameron Croix.

Cameron looked her up and down, his eyes blazing with a deranged, mocking light. "You little bitch. You really think you can betray me and just skip off into the sunset with my brother? What kind of high-class garbage do you think you are?"

Seraphina went perfectly still, terrified of setting him off. She had always known what Cameron was—a spoiled, ruthless trust-fund psychopath who didn't give a damn about playing the gentleman.

With his other hand practically crushing her throat, all she could do was let out muffled whimpers of panic.

Cameron was drowning in humiliation. He had never been made to look like such a fool in his entire life. His fiancé had publicly hooked up with his older brother. How was he supposed to show his face in their social circles ever again?

He lightly slapped Seraphina's cheek, his voice dropping to a sinister whisper. "I might not be able to take down my brother right now, but ruining a cheap little social climber like you? That's child's play."

Seraphina's entire body trembled, but she managed to choke out, "Sebastian won't let you!"

Cameron's eyes turned lethal. He slammed her hard against the wall. "You want to marry into the family? Keep dreaming! You actually think the Croix family is going to kick out a prize like Raelynn just to accept *you*? What leverage do you even have? Raelynn is a Kingsford professor now. She's untouchable. You've failed over and over again. Do you think the Croix family runs a charity?"

Seraphina's pupils blew wide with panic.

"Wake up," Cameron sneered, his breath hot against her face. "As long as Raelynn is standing tall, the Croix family will never downgrade to trash like you."

He laughed, a dark, vicious sound. "Sera... we've got a lot of time. I'm going to make you regret every single stupid thing you've done."

He released her abruptly and shoved his way out of the stairwell.

Seraphina slid down the wall, clutching her throat and gasping for air. Her eyes were wide with sheer terror. She knew Cameron was psychotic enough to follow through on his threats.

But the worst part was that everything he said was true.

Raelynn was currently standing at the very top. She had power, prestige, and endless connections. As long as Raelynn didn't fall from grace, the Croix family would never give Seraphina the time of day.

Gritting her teeth, Seraphina took a deep breath, smoothed down her dress, and stepped back out into the hallway.

Down the hall, she spotted Sebastian standing by the second-floor railing, smoking a cigarette. He leaned against the balustrade, his dark eyes fixed on something in the distance.
