"Speak."
Leo sounded pretty frustrated. "My grandfather hasn't stopped singing Raelynn's praises since she became a professor at Kingsford. He clearly wants to meet her. But Raelynn has a grudge against me, so she'll definitely say no. If you ask her, Sebastian, she'll absolutely agree."
With Raelynn's obsession with Sebastian, there was no way she'd pass up a chance to negotiate with him.
Seraphina's expression shifted slightly.
She subconsciously clutched the edge of her top.
She obviously didn't want Raelynn to meet Mr. Flynn Sr. If she did, wouldn't Leo find out she had taken credit for saving him?
Sebastian's eyes revealed no emotion. He neither agreed nor refused.
Seraphina pressed her lips together and spoke up. "Based on what I've seen at Kingsford since my transfer, Raelynn might not have the skills to back up her title. She's pretty marginal. If you introduce her and Mr. Flynn Sr. realizes she's actually terrible, won't that just annoy him more?"
Leo hesitated.
But he was definitely considering her words.
Sebastian finally spoke. "Handle it yourself."
He hung up.
Seraphina pressed her lips together, letting out a silent sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, Raelynn was drowning in endless meetings.
She was completely unaware that Julian had discovered Faye was Lily's biological mother.
Kingsford University had launched a massive new project, organizing a research team composed of top medical minds from elite universities nationwide to develop a new neuro-drug for a globally unsolved medical crisis.
Kingsford provided the research base, and everyone was coming to the capital for two months.
Ultimately, the top five doctoral candidates would be selected to enter the National Academy of Traditional Medicine, and their mentors would receive positions at the Academy based on their contributions. It was practically a guaranteed promotion.
Under this competitive system, each research group had to submit a project report first, which would be cross-reviewed and scored by the mentors.
Raelynn squeezed in time between meetings to write her report.
Having been ruthlessly trained by Alistair for over a decade, her theoretical foundation was rock solid. Writing a report was a breeze for her.
It only took ten minutes.
Raelynn closed the folder and looked at Seraphina.
Seraphina curled her lips into a smile. "There are probably some shortcomings. Please, I'd appreciate your feedback."
"Shortcomings is an understatement." Raelynn's tone didn't shift, clearly seeing right through Seraphina's motives.
But she was someone who always spoke her mind.
"The whole thing is a pile of garbage wrapped in a gold ribbon. A report isn't an excuse to cram in a bunch of jargon to dress up pages of absolute nonsense. If all your effort went into finding obscure English medical terms, then I suppose you did work hard on that."
The conference room fell dead silent.
Seraphina's face drained of color.
Anger quickly flushed her cheeks. "What are you talking about?"
"It's completely rejected. Rewrite it. You have two more chances. If it doesn't pass after two tries, please leave this research group." Raelynn laid down the ironclad rules.
