Raelynn hadn't expected this twist.
The reason for marrying Ian wasn't something she wanted exposed. She instinctively lunged to snatch it back.
Sebastian effortlessly raised one hand, leaving Raelynn grabbing at empty air.
Raelynn was furious. "Give it back to me!"
His dark eyes locked onto her, unblinking. His voice carried a bone-deep coldness. "A prenuptial agreement. Between you and Ian?"
It was almost impossible to discern anger or joy in Sebastian's tone.
But his sharp perception was terrifying.
Especially that predatory gaze, so dark and oppressive.
Raelynn was certain he had seen it clearly.
She simply pressed her lips together, keeping a cold face and remaining silent.
Sebastian's pupils seemed coated in ice. "Ian going abroad—was it to get the paperwork for your marriage?"
Raelynn really hated this posture of Sebastian's, acting like he controlled everything.
He knew Ian's movements, and the moment he saw this prenuptial agreement, he accurately guessed all the minute details.
If it weren't for Sebastian always being like this, she wouldn't have been in a constant state of panic over Lily, barely getting a good night's sleep all these years.
Raelynn was genuinely frustrated that Sebastian had discovered this.
They had agreed back then that she couldn't remarry within a year, otherwise, The Winslow Antique Shop, currently in Sebastian's hands, wouldn't be transferred back to her name. Now, everything had collapsed unexpectedly.
She was getting married.
And Sebastian had caught her red-handed.
Denying it was clearly impossible now.
She took a deep breath and met his gaze resolutely. "Yes. I also have to thank you. The night you sent me to Zenith Holdings, he and I officially decided to get our marriage certificate."
Sebastian stared deeply at Raelynn.
He didn't speak for a long time.
