Cordelia's expression remained perfectly smooth. She let her gaze briefly drift over Seraphina without acknowledging her greeting, turning her attention entirely to Sebastian. "Mr. Croix."
Seraphina subtly bit her lower lip.
Cordelia was treating her like thin air. Even with Sebastian standing right beside her, it wasn't enough to earn a shred of respect from the formidable matriarch. The blatant dismissal filled Seraphina with a suffocating wave of resentment.
Sebastian's handsome face was an emotionless mask. "Mrs. Hudson. Are you here to order a gown?"
Cordelia smiled, her eyes crinkling warmly. "No, I'm here to help Raelynn pick out her wedding dress."
That single sentence hung in the air.
The atmosphere in the room instantly froze.
Even Seraphina frowned in disbelief.
What kind of manipulative spell had Raelynn cast to get a ruthless corporate powerhouse like Cordelia to drop everything and play along with this farce?
She instinctively glanced up to gauge Sebastian's reaction.
His dark, predatory gaze remained completely unbothered, exuding a chilling, distant coldness. "Then we won't interrupt you."
He cast a dismissive, fleeting glance at Raelynn.
Then he turned to walk toward the other side of the boutique.
A triumphant smile blossomed on Seraphina's lips.
Clearly, even if Raelynn threatened to jump off a bridge, Sebastian wouldn't so much as blink. He truly didn't care.
Feeling emboldened...
Seraphina suddenly stopped and looked up at him with sickeningly sweet devotion. "Sebastian, I really want to try on a dress. Will you stay and help me pick one?"
Her voice carried easily across the quiet showroom.
Cordelia turned to look.
Raelynn heard it loud and clear, finding the entire situation utterly absurd.
Sebastian didn't bat an eye. He idly flipped open a bridal magazine on a nearby glass table. "Sure."
His casual agreement was all the validation she needed.
A visceral wave of revulsion washed over Raelynn at the sound of her voice.
She instinctively recoiled, a deep frown marring her features.
Sebastian paused his reading and slowly lifted his gaze.
His eyes landed on the rings. His expression remained utterly unreadable as he murmured, "Indeed."
Satisfied with his response...
Seraphina didn't linger. She was far more interested in getting into her million-dollar gown and disappeared into the fitting room.
Raelynn glanced at the rings one last time, any trace of nostalgia completely souring.
Suddenly, a familiar, crisp scent of expensive cologne washed over her. "Please ring these up. I'll take them."
She snapped her head around. Sebastian had closed the distance and was standing right beside her, his long, elegant finger tapping the glass case directly above the rings.
The sales consultant's eyes practically lit up with dollar signs. "Right away, sir! You treat your girlfriend incredibly well. Buying exactly what she wants the second she mentions it—she's very lucky."
Raelynn's frown deepened into a tight scowl.

I think Ian is sly. He is not what he seems. Sebastian loves Raelyn and they have a daughter together. Besides he has no family to even take care of him. I feel Raelyn should realise that Sebastian is only her true love and go back to him....
