Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 559

Though she had the exact same thought.

It shouldn't have been Ian Hudson to bring it up first.

What did that make her? Who was supposed to protect her pride?

Did Ian truly have absolutely no interest in her? How was she any worse than Raelynn Ortiz?

Her expression turned icy as she set down her coffee cup. "Mr. Hudson, is this really what you wanted to say so early in the morning?"

"If you understand and accept it, then I expect you to keep your word."

Ian was busy with work and didn't waste time on idle chatter, quickly ending the call.

Seraphina, however, felt her good mood instantly shatter into a million pieces.

Did Ian really dislike her that much?

Even worse.

He had called her from a landline.

Not his personal cell!

It made her feel as though her pride had been ruthlessly trampled into the dirt.

"What's wrong?" Blanche walked over.

"Mr. Hudson called. He wants to sever all ties with me." Seraphina took a deep breath, her face looking grim.

She didn't believe any man could truly be that undeniably loyal.

Hadn't Sebastian Croix treated her with the same indifference in the beginning? But what happened after that? He eventually started returning her greetings, and later, constrained by their statuses, they shared an unspoken mutual affection until he ultimately elevated her without hesitation.

If she could be the exception for a man like Sebastian, she could do it again.

Ian was only acting this way because they hadn't interacted much yet.

Blanche frowned. "Did Raelynn put him up to this?"

Seraphina scoffed. "If she did, it just means she's panicking."

She paused.

Frowning, she looked at Blanche. "The amulet is one thing, but a DNA test..."

Blanche seemed entirely confident. "You don't need to worry about that. There are ways to handle it. The most important thing right now is to strike first and force the Yves family to publicly acknowledge your identity."

They had to do it before the DNA test.
