The resort was crawling with high-society elites and major power players.
She had used the clinic as an excuse to play the good Samaritan for a bit, knowing it was the perfect networking opportunity to rub elbows with the ultra-rich.
She had checked on a few elderly patients herself today.
So...
When Leo looked at her with such overwhelming gratitude, Seraphina hesitated for a split second before answering, "Oh, that was your grandfather? It was nothing, just doing what I can."
She couldn't believe her incredible luck.
She had accidentally treated the patriarch of the Flynn family, which meant the entire Flynn dynasty now owed her a massive favor.
"My grandpa wouldn't stop raving about how beautiful you are. He was singing your praises for ten minutes straight. He demanded that I make sure you were properly rewarded." Leo looked at Seraphina with shining eyes.
He was entirely convinced that Seraphina was the woman his grandfather had described.
Gorgeous, elegant, and classy. Was there anyone else on that volunteer team who fit the description better than Seraphina?
Remembering that his grandfather had wanted to set them up...
Leo quickly decided to keep that little detail to himself.
Seraphina laughed softly, glancing up at Sebastian. "You're making me blush."
Leo stepped forward, clapping Sebastian on the shoulder. "Sebastian, man, you've got yourself the absolute perfect woman. You hit the jackpot with her."
Sebastian casually arched an eyebrow, a faint, unreadable smile on his lips. "Is that right."
Seraphina looked at his handsome, aristocratic face, her cheeks flushing a delicate pink.
Leo was in an incredible mood. "Now that my grandfather is out of the woods, my birthday party tonight is officially back on! When you come, I'll introduce Seraphina to a few massive television producers I know."
Seraphina's eyebrows shot up in surprise.
Leo was straight-up handing her A-list career connections.
This was his way of repaying the life-saving favor.
But...
She frowned, thinking back over the morning.
She couldn't actually remember any of the elderly patients she'd seen being in critical condition.
But Leo made it sound like his grandfather was on death's door...
"What's on your mind?" Sebastian asked, looking down at her.
Leo looked over, instantly concerned.
Seraphina shoved the thought away. Even if there was some mix-up, it didn't matter. The Flynn family believed she was their savior, and that was a fact she was perfectly happy to claim.
"Nothing. I was just thinking that getting into medicine was the best decision I ever made. It feels like fate brought me exactly where I needed to be to help him."
