Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 59

Seraphina was genuinely surprised that Leo was going this far out of his way for her.

Especially in front of a crowd like this.

It was the ultimate, public validation of her status as Sebastian's woman.

A delicate blush painted her cheeks.

She looked up at Sebastian, who was sitting right beside her. "Sebastian, ignore him. Leo's just joking around. There are too many people watching."

The crowd instantly erupted.

"Drink! Drink!"

"Drink! Drink!"

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

The cheering and chanting echoed around the room.

Sebastian rested his elbows on his knees, lazily swirling the champagne in his glass. "Tonight's about Leo."

Leo clinked his glass against Sebastian's. "So what? Seeing my best friend happy is the best gift I could ask for."

The people in the room were all part of the same elite inner circle.

Even though everyone knew the rumors about Sebastian getting married young years ago.

None of them thought there was anything wrong with what was happening right now.

High-society marriages were just business arrangements; they were only meant to look good on paper.

Behind closed doors, everyone played the field.

Who didn't have a side piece?

Leo shot a highly meaningful glance toward the corner of the room.

Seraphina had saved his grandfather's life; he owed her an unpayable debt. If he could force Raelynn to realize just how utterly irrelevant she was, forcing her to finally back off, that would be the ultimate payback.

The party's energy was peaking.

Raelynn was forced to stand there, eyes wide open, watching this grotesque circus unfold.

The crowd surged forward.

She could barely even see what was happening with Sebastian anymore.

She truly hadn't expected them to be this brazenly disgusting.

Raelynn turned her back on the chaos, the roaring cheers still echoing behind her.

She was the only one in the room who didn't belong.

She downed the rest of her drink in one gulp, slammed the glass onto a table, and headed straight for the door.

"Raelynn, wait a second."

Seraphina had chased after her.

Raelynn stopped and turned around. Seraphina had left her adoring fans behind and was standing right in front of her.

Raelynn had no idea if Sebastian and Seraphina had actually gone through with the locked-arm drink and the kiss.

What an absolutely beautiful, epic affair.

Raelynn wasn't surprised, but that didn't mean she wasn't sickened by it. She let out a dry laugh. "Thanks for giving me the itemized receipt of exactly how much of my husband's money you've been burning through. I'll be sure to file a claim for the marital assets as soon as possible. Oh, right, you've got a few TV appearances coming up, don't you? You might want to pay that money back quickly, otherwise I'll have to come collect it from you on set, and that's going to look really ugly on camera."

The ironclad prenup she'd signed with Sebastian was drawn up by Chairman Croix Sr. himself.

Only the three of them actually knew what was in it.

Even though she had zero legal right to stop Sebastian from spending his own money.

She could definitely use the threat of a lawsuit to terrify Seraphina.

The smug look completely vanished from Seraphina's eyes.

"Raelynn, you can't force someone to love you. In any relationship, the one who isn't loved is the real interloper. Sticking around is just making things worse. Letting go would actually be a decent thing to do."

"Then go run for office and write it into law," Raelynn shot back coldly, turning to leave.

Seraphina scowled.

She couldn't believe Raelynn was this ridiculously stubborn.

Seeing Raelynn about to walk away.

Seraphina took a quick step forward. Her stilettos caught slightly on the thick carpet, and she legitimately lost her balance for a second.

The champagne glass in her hand tipped forward, splashing the expensive wine all over her own chest.

And she went tumbling backward, landing hard on the floor.

The crash instantly drew the attention of everyone nearby.
