Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 60

"Oh my god, did Ms. Vance just fall?"

"Who is that woman standing over her?"

"Did she push her?!"

Seraphina heard the whispers perfectly. She didn't offer a single word of explanation; she just bit her lip and shot a trembling, wounded look up at Raelynn.

Sure, she had actually just tripped, but since everyone had already jumped to the conclusion that she was attacked, why on earth would she ruin a perfectly good opportunity to throw Raelynn under the bus?

Raelynn stared down at Seraphina, her face stone cold.

It was so blatantly obvious what she was doing.

Did this woman actually think she was the fragile, tragic heroine of some trashy soap opera? Tripping over flat air for sympathy?

"Raelynn! Are you out of your damn mind?!"

Leo heard the commotion, took one look at the scene, and stormed over, aggressively shoving Raelynn by the shoulder.

Caught completely off guard, Raelynn stumbled backward, the small of her back slamming violently into the sharp corner of a heavy table.

The agonizing pain instantly drained every drop of color from her face.

The impact sent a shockwave of agony through her spine, and her legs buckled. She was barely able to stay upright.

Suddenly, a strong, muscular arm wrapped firmly around her waist, catching her before she hit the floor. She threw her head back, her eyes colliding with Sebastian's dark, icy gaze.

"Sebastian?"

Watching him catch her.

Seraphina bit her lip, her voice trembling.

Sebastian's expression remained completely blank as he immediately let go of Raelynn, stepping back to put a very clear, deliberate distance between them.

He looked down at Raelynn, his eyes devoid of any warmth. "How did she fall?"

For a second, Raelynn had actually thought he was just trying to help her.

But he was only here to interrogate her.

Wow, she had almost been touched.

Swallowing down the blinding pain in her back, she forced herself to stand perfectly straight, refusing to show any weakness. "Pull the security footage. You’re the billionaire CEO. Surely you can handle a simple tech request."

Maybe it was because Raelynn's response was so sharp and defiant.

Seraphina's eyes turned instantly frantic.

She couldn't believe Raelynn was pushing this! How could she still be fighting back when she was clearly beaten?!

"You're taking this way too far. She already said she was letting it go. Acting like a psycho and demanding an investigation is just pathetic," Leo snapped, stepping in front of Seraphina. "Besides, she has a public image to maintain. Watch your mouth."

His grandfather had ordered him to treat his savior with the utmost respect; he absolutely wasn't going to let anyone bully Seraphina on his watch.

"If every single one of you is so absolutely certain that I pushed her, then the footage will just prove you right. I'll be the one on my knees. So what are you all so terrified of?" Raelynn smiled, her eyes burning with pure, unadulterated mockery.

Fighting to clear her own name made her the villain now?

What kind of sick, twisted logic was that?

Leo glared at Raelynn, looking thoroughly disgusted.

She was clearly jealous, petty, and completely inferior to Seraphina in every way. Was she really just trying to humiliate Seraphina in public out of sheer spite?

Raelynn didn't give a damn what any of them thought anymore.

If they wanted to play dirty and frame her, she was going to burn this entire party to the ground.

She locked eyes with the resort manager standing a few feet away, her voice cutting through the room like a whip. "Sir, pull the security footage, please. Put it on the main screen. Now."
