Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 61

Raelynn didn't think she was blowing things out of proportion.

Her soon-to-be ex-husband was standing right there, entirely devoted to another woman. If she didn't stand her ground, she would have been trampled into the dirt long ago.

She couldn't rely on anyone.

She was entirely on her own.

Even if it meant going down in flames, fighting back was her only way out.

Clearly, no one expected Raelynn to be so forceful.

A flash of pure annoyance crossed Seraphina Vance's eyes.

She had fully expected Raelynn to keep her head down and stay out of the way, just like she always did. Wasn't she always the timid one who never fought back?

If the security footage was actually pulled, wouldn't it expose the fact that she was the one setting Raelynn up?

"Raelynn, give it a rest. Seraphina just said she was willing to let it slide. Why are you still making a fuss?" Leo Flynn felt that Seraphina had already been more than accommodating.

And yet, Raelynn was being completely ungrateful.

Raelynn looked at Leo, who was practically charging into battle on Seraphina's behalf.

She didn't even know if it was because Seraphina was the woman Sebastian Croix treasured above all else, or if Seraphina was just naturally blessed with the kind of charm that made everyone want to protect her.

It only made Raelynn feel that much more isolated.

A lump formed in her throat. She was only twenty-six, after all. Facing this kind of unfair, targeted hostility from a whole group of people, she couldn't pretend it didn't hurt at all.

"I'll say it again. Pull the security footage," Raelynn repeated, enunciating every word.

Only then did Seraphina's expression truly change.

If the footage got out, what would people think of her?

Instinctively, her gaze shifted to Sebastian, who hadn't yet taken a stance.

The man was standing just two steps away from Raelynn.

From her angle, it almost looked like Sebastian and Raelynn were a united front.

Seraphina pressed her lips together and frowned.

"Sebastian," she called out, wanting to pull him back to her side.

She knew that Sebastian was the only one who could put a stop to this.

Raelynn also looked coldly at Sebastian.

Sebastian's gaze was cool and level. He looked at Raelynn for a few seconds.

Consequently, everyone would be more than happy to take Seraphina's word for it, side with her, and point their fingers at Raelynn.

Sebastian was the owner of the resort; naturally, no one dared to question him.

Seraphina's expression instantly relaxed. A confident smile returned to her lips as she took a few elegant steps to Sebastian's side, lifting her hand to link her arm through his. She looked at Raelynn. "I said I wouldn't hold it against you, and I meant it. We're both women; we should support each other. As long as it doesn't cross a bottom line, everything else is trivial. You don't need to feel guilty."

Raelynn looked at the man and woman standing shoulder-to-shoulder in front of her.

Presenting such a united, intimate front.

She thought with a bitter sneer: Who would ever guess that the man letting another woman cling to his arm was her husband?

"A bottom line? Do you even have one?"

Was destroying someone else's marriage her idea of a bottom line?

Seraphina's eyes darkened.

Sebastian gave Raelynn a dismissive look, then said, "Escort Ms. Ortiz back to her room."

The staff quickly stepped forward, gesturing politely. "Right this way, please."

Seraphina was incredibly satisfied with Sebastian's attitude and the way he addressed Raelynn.
