As she walked past Sylvia, Seraphina smirked. "I'm sorry. Let me know when you book your flight; I'll come see you off as a final gesture. As for the car crash, I won't escalate it or dig into who was really behind it. We still need to save some face, after all."

Her supposed concession dripped with arrogance.

Sylvia slowly lifted her gaze, staring at her in silence for a long time. It was impossible to tell what she was thinking. She didn't look angry; in fact, she possessed a chillingly calm demeanor. "We'll discuss this after the holidays. There's no rush."

She bypassed Seraphina and Blanche, walking straight out the door.
