But now, the Tanner family was shoved violently into the crosshairs. He was being publicly executed, with crystal-clear footage of his illegal drug use abroad broadcast to the entire room.
He was guaranteed to be investigated!
He might even... go to jail for this.
Theon's face was terrifyingly grim. He stood up alongside Eleanor. "I don't even know this little whore! This video is a malicious setup by someone out to destroy me!"
He was so panicked and enraged he spat out whatever excuse came to mind.
A sudden thought struck him.
Theon snapped his head toward Sebastian, who sat with his legs elegantly crossed, completely unfazed.
Sensing the glare, Sebastian lazily shifted his gaze over to meet his.
That dead, unbothered look.
Sent a violent shudder of ice through Theon's veins.
Could it be...
A targeted revenge from Sebastian?
All because he had made a move on his wife?
The realization made Theon's breathing turn ragged.
Meanwhile, Eleanor was so furious she was practically trying to bash the giant screen with her cane. "Bastards! What is this filthy garbage?! This shameless woman is trying to drag the Tanner family down with her! Matilda, why are you just sitting there watching?!"
Eleanor and Matilda were close friends.
Eleanor was even the one who had arranged the disastrous blind date for Raelynn last time.
Eleanor glared furiously at her friend.
Matilda's face wasn't looking too good either. She had no idea there was this much baggage—the Tanner family was harboring a law-breaking junkie. If she hadn't actively pushed Raelynn to meet him, she would have happily watched the drama from the sidelines.
But because of her past actions.
She now bore some responsibility for this mess.
If the Chairman found out...
Matilda's face darkened, worried Eleanor might blab about her involvement in her panic. She quickly barked an order. "Turn it off right now! Have you no shame?"
Theon's eyes practically vibrated with shock.
He whipped his head toward Seraphina. This bitch had taken advantage of him while he was high just to latch onto his wealth. Suddenly, a memory hit him—years ago, some woman really had shown up pregnant, demanding a payoff.
But back then he was a mess, tossing a bank card at her and telling her to abort it or keep it—he didn't care either way, and it had nothing to do with him.
Now, that blurry memory snapped into sharp focus.
It had really been this woman...
Eleanor was so enraged by Sebastian's sarcasm she screeched at the top of her lungs, "You think we want your sloppy seconds? We won't accept some filthy street tramp! And our family will never acknowledge some random bastard brat! Even if they died right in front of us, it's none of our business!"
Eleanor was a shrewd woman.
With things escalating to this point, anyone with eyes knew Seraphina was a social pariah, a rat crawling in the gutter. It was crucial to sever all ties instantly.
It was just a kid.
Anyone could breed for the family.
But if they got dragged down by this tramp, the Tanner family's reputation would be dragged straight into the sewer!

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
