"Sebastian, I don't care what methods you used, he's still your father. You can't just disregard your own flesh and blood. Nothing can happen to him. Think of a way out of this! Whatever internal conflicts we have, we can resolve them within the family. Why let it come to this?"
Matilda was panicking.
Regardless of everything, this was her eldest son.
The allegations were severe. If proven true, he would spend the rest of his life behind bars.
This situation was completely unprecedented.
One second it was a harmonious gathering, and the next, everything was destroyed.
Forrest, however, was unusually silent.
He just looked at Sebastian with a complicated expression.
"Sebastian, what exactly are you trying to do?!" Cyrus roared, though a baseless fear crept into his heart. He remembered just how ruthless his son had been all those years ago.
Sebastian scanned the room.
Looking at this massive extended family.
Several branches of the Croix family were present, along with numerous elders. Yet right now, this huge, prestigious family looked distorted and ugly.
"I want you dead."
His calm, water-like voice cut through the air like an invisible blade.
Completely shredding the so-called blood ties of this family.
Everyone was stunned.
They couldn't believe he would speak with such blunt, cruel honesty.
Cyrus was shocked, terrified, and furious.
"I am your father! How dare you..."
"You're my father, which is exactly why I'm sending you to prison to serve out your retirement. What's wrong with that?" Sebastian chuckled softly.
Cyrus's eyes bulged with rage.
"Sebastian! Have you lost your mind?" Matilda stood up, trembling with anger.
But Sebastian didn't care about their attitudes. Cyrus being investigated and taken away—once the charges were verified as severe—would have a massive impact on Croix Holdings.
He sat back and watched the show.
Observing the farce with an indifferent expression.
Like a complete outsider.
Sebastian turned back around. "There's one more thing."
"The Croix family already made enemies by failing to deliver the promised shares to the Hudson Family. Tell me, once the Hudsons and other outside forces get wind of this, do you think they'll pour gasoline on the fire?"
That was undoubtedly a given.
The tactics in corporate warfare were never pretty.
Rivals would only look for the perfect opportunity to kick them while they were down, backstab them, and drag them through the mud.
"Sebastian, Croix Holdings is your life's work too. Why take it this far?" Tristan understood the gravity of the situation. The Croix family was facing threats from both inside and out.
The Hudson Family would never let this slide.
Was Sebastian truly bent on destroying his own family?
That single sentence.
Made Sebastian cast a cold glance his way.
His eyes darkened with hostility. "You're a beneficiary of all this. You don't need to wrap yourself up in such an innocent package."
Tristan froze. "What do you mean by that?"
"Years ago, when the Matriarch drugged Raelynn and me to force us together, what role did you play in all of that?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding
I think for as slow as the beginning was, their turning point is just so fast... really hope we actually get to read about R and S and their rekindle.... we did not read 950 pages for their story to be sidelined. Im for this sideline story, but it if it's to separate from the main characters and their story, please make it separate book....
Author please update more chapters...
I really like Zella, she is becoming a good friend to Raelynn. Ian needs to go. The relationship with Chloe is confusing. Some chapters they are cousins, sometimes they're sibling. A little confusing....
Julians role as big brother- I feel comes from a genuine place, but in a relationship thats is just as stained as Raelynns and Sebastians. It hard for me to connect to his big brother role as he too was such a problem before. And while they talked a little bit, the conversation did not give me the believe there was resolution between Raelynn and Julian. For a brute, he should make his feelings clear about the situation to Raelynn and then step back, until there is more foundation for him to stand on....
Knife in my heart. I hurt for Raelynn. She has made it this far, but how much does she have in her, everyone has a breaking point. Some back of me hopes the author is joking to lighten the mood after so many intense chapters, but thats not this kind of story or couple....
My heart cannot take this. This, cannot be how it ends with these too. They need resolution with each other. Raelynn needs to be more humanize with Sebastian. We know she is hurt, but this is the branch. She needs all these answers, if not for them to be together, then for Lily to have both her parents. Stop with the mind games Raelynn!...
Its like the story is just repeating itself...
Timeline is getting lost for me. So many treasured little memories Raelynn has but yet, he was gone for years ? Anyways... still rooting for them! These two need a heart to heart. Lily "forgetting" someone, not possible in this day and age and I hope thats not their storyline....
Sebastian, the man of few words.... needs to find all the words! Needs to fight for her! On note, seven years seems like a long time for this master plan (which I am sure goes back much farther). Rereading this novel, and it seems like everything has played out in a 5-8 month time span. And I feel like all Sebastian's doings/ plan have not been revealed. I hope we get to see the whole picture and have the resolutions we hope. But seven years of mistreatment, I just don't see Raelynn fully coming back. If these was 2-3 years, maybe, and I know it changes some characters around, but it would still work. Rooting for them!...
Literally on edge!...
