Boss, Your Wife Signed the Divorce Agreement Before the Wedding novel Chapter 92

Leo also noticed the blank signature line.

He had been reading along as Sebastian scanned the clauses of the divorce agreement.

Finally, Leo let out a scoff. "I knew it. Since when did Raelynn have the backbone to actually ask you for a divorce? Who drafts such a tyrannical agreement?"

"Did she not laugh at her own absurdity when she came up with these demands?"

A few clauses were particularly glaring.

First, if they divorced, Sebastian had to forfeit half his assets.

Second, after the divorce, Sebastian could not marry Seraphina for ten years, could not give her any official status, and absolutely could not let her bear his children.

Third, the divorce could proceed, but he had to give Raelynn a child. Only once she was pregnant would they officially finalize the paperwork.

Leo found it completely laughable, asking in disbelief, "Is this the attitude of someone who urgently wants a divorce? Isn't this just pure, unreasonable harassment?"

"Raelynn calculated exactly that you'd never sign this, which is why she's acting so tough, right?"

Sebastian's expression remained impassive.

This divorce agreement was clearly the product of extremely negative emotions.

It was utterly worthless.

"She doesn't want to divorce you at all, and she's dead certain you'd never sign this," Leo concluded.

Did Raelynn not know the unfathomable depths of Sebastian's wealth? Demanding half of it, she was really biting off more than she could chew.

And forbidding him from marrying Seraphina.

Was she trying to forcefully drain away Seraphina's youth?

On top of that, demanding he get her pregnant before they split, her schemes were loud enough to be heard across the Atlantic!

Was she really that desperate and ferocious?

If she actually had a child, would she still leave? She'd just use the kid to secure her position and refuse to go away!

"Seb, you're not actually going to humor her, are you?"

"I don't have that kind of free time," Sebastian said, his features cool and distant.

He took one last look at the absurd agreement.

Then, he walked over to the trash can by the stairwell.

With two fingers, he tore the papers in half and casually tossed them into the garbage.

Seeing Sebastian's reaction.

Leo knew he wasn't going to play along with Raelynn's games.

"You're not going to confront her and set things straight?"

Matilda shook her head and sighed. "Last time, I tried to scare her by saying she could never remarry into our circles, but she didn't flinch. She's dead set on leaving."

Last time she had indeed been bluffing.

Hoping to extinguish Raelynn's thoughts of divorce.

She genuinely hadn't expected the girl to be so resolute.

But if the two of them really split...

The peaceful days of the Croix family would come to an end.

That Vance woman was still glaring hungrily, waiting to take the position.

Therefore.

She couldn't just sit back and watch.

"Ma'am, but can we really keep this from Mr. Croix? What if he gets angry, goes back, and confronts Mrs. Croix? Won't our cover be blown?"

"It won't," Matilda said calmly. "Sebastian keeps his thoughts deep. With an agreement this ridiculous, he'll simply pretend it never existed. When have you ever seen Sebastian raise his voice or get red in the face arguing with Raelynn?"

If Sebastian cared even a fraction for Raelynn, they might have been able to sit down and communicate properly. Their relationship wouldn't have deteriorated to this state.

As for Raelynn's side of things...
