Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 10

After leaving Northwing Court, Vivienne immediately fell into deep thought. Upon reaching the covered walkway, she turned into the corridor without so much as a word of farewell.

The cold indifference was a stark contrast to her behavior in the flower hall just moments ago.

Cedric watched her go without a word.

This Miss Lexton's behavior today was truly unexpected. If it was her own doing, that was one thing. But if someone was deliberately instigating her…

Cedric's eyes darkened. To have such a calculating mind at such a young age was not a good thing.

Just as Cedric was scrutinizing Vivienne's retreating back, she suddenly stopped. Before he could react, he saw her figure charge headfirst into a large rosewood pillar in the corridor!

Cedric's brow twitched and his face changed drastically. Forgetting all thought, he bolted into the walkway.

"Miss Lexton!"

Vivienne wasn't trying to kill herself. She just wanted to verify whether this was all an illusion. If it was, she had already seen her grandfather, and she needed to wake up and not let herself get lost in it.

If it wasn't…

"Miss Lexton!" Cedric helped her sit down, his eyes filled with a mixture of urgency and anger. "What are you doing? You can't joke about things like this!"

"Hiss…" Though the impact wasn't fatal, she had put some force into it.

Vivienne clutched the giant lump on her head, her eyes narrowing. She hadn't woken up!

After a brief daze, she jumped to her feet, her eyes wide with a mix of surprise and wariness. "Cedric, you're still here?"

Cedric had no idea what she was up to and sighed. "Miss Lexton, playing the victim like this will only break the old master's heart."

Vivienne's eyes darted around. She pushed him aside and muttered, "I was just distracted. I didn't see the pillar in front of me."

Cedric was rendered speechless.

Distracted? He had personally seen her take a running start.

Vivienne didn't want to explain further. She turned to leave, but then, as if remembering something, she came back and emphasized to Cedric again, "Cedric, this was just an accident." With that, she jogged away down the long corridor.

Cedric stood there, stunned by her attitude.

"Cedric." Just then, Talia entered the corridor from another courtyard, heading for Northwing Court. She used a familiar, old form of address for Cedric.

Cedric quickly collected himself. "Ms. Talia."

Elder Mr. Ravenshire had three wives and fathered five sons and two daughters.

"Dad." Talia's eyes flickered with guilt. She cleared her throat and stepped out of the corridor.

The old master shot her a look. "Come inside and talk."

The two entered Northwing Court but remained in the courtyard instead of going inside.

Talia glanced at the Peonielle in the center of the courtyard and chuckled nervously. "Dad, this sapling is looking pretty good."

Six ornate, high-backed rosewood chairs and an antique rattan lounge chair were arranged in the courtyard. The old master slowly sat down in the rose chair, tapping the stone tiles lightly with his cane, his expression serious. "Sit."

Talia's face changed. Her smile vanished, and she obediently took a seat.

"Dad." Her posture was elegant, legs together, torso angled slightly, one arm resting lightly on the armrest, hands folded in her lap.

The old master's gaze was calm. "Tell me, how did it come to this? Are you really divorcing Damien?"

The smile on Talia's face completely disappeared. After a moment of stunned silence, her eyes hardened with resolve. "Yes! Dad, I've already decided. No one can stop me. Not even you!"

The summer vacation was almost over, and by this time, Talia would usually have taken Bianca back to the Whitmore estate. But this time, there was no sign of movement.

The old master had sent someone to the Whitmore's to inquire and had found out that his daughter was quite the character. Relying on her family's power, she had gone on a rampage at her in-laws' home, smashing a twenty-million-dollar antique vase over the old Mr. Whitmore's head, cracking her husband Damien's head open, and then coolly leaving a divorce agreement before taking her child and returning to her maiden home.
