Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 100

Victor tidied up a bit more, straightened the laptop on the desk, and said, "Mr. Cyril, it's all cleaned up."

Cyril looked up, his gaze gentle. "Thank you for your hard work."

Victor's eyes flickered. "Not at all, it's my duty." Seeing that Cyril had no intention of engaging further, Victor took the initiative to ask, "Mr. Cyril, where's your chess set? I saw you take it with you this morning. Why didn't you bring it back?"

Cyril replied, "Grandfather kept it. He said he'll give me a new set another day."

Victor nodded and said with a flattering smile, "You're truly impressive, Mr. Cyril. The old master's attitude toward you is becoming more and more special."

Cyril smiled. "I'm just lucky to have such a good grandfather."

Victor was about to agree when a strange feeling washed over him.

He had been the one asking all the questions. Anyone else would have gotten annoyed by now, but the young man before him answered every single one. For some reason, this compliance gave Victor an indescribable sense of dissonance.

He gave a hollow smile. "Mr. Cyril, I'll take my leave then. Please call me if you need anything."

Cyril nodded.

Victor turned to leave, and a moment later, the sound of the door clicking shut was heard from inside the room.

Cyril's gentle gaze instantly turned cold. He pondered for a moment, then walked slowly to the desk and casually felt along the back of a shelf packed with books.

Just as he expected, there was a round pinhole.

Cyril let out a cold laugh and casually withdrew his hand.

After all this time, Dorian was still using the same old tricks. Did he really think he could control him just by planting a camera in his room?

In the video, Dorian, annoyed by her pestering, violently threw off Victoria's hand. His face was grim as he pointed a finger at her nose.

"If you want to blame someone, blame your own useless son! I spent so much energy cultivating him, and all he knows how to do is gamble and chase women. I'm warning you, don't try to be clever again, or don't blame me for disregarding our years of marriage!"

Cyril had no interest in watching them tear each other apart. He pulled off his headphones and cut the feed.

Just as he was about to close the laptop, a notification suddenly popped up in the bottom-right corner.

[You have a new message]

Cyril's gaze darkened slightly as he clicked open the email.

[Dear Mr. Lane, I know it is presumptuous to contact you unprompted, but there is a matter of utmost urgency...]
