Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 113

*Ping! Ping!*

Instantly, Isabella's phone was flooded with notifications. Even the girls who had been giving her the cold shoulder for canceling their visit to Obsidian Estate were suddenly messaging her.

[Mandy: @Isabella, are you feeling better? My mom took me to Egypt, so I haven't been able to visit. But I got you a present! It's a silk scarf my mom picked out. I'll give it to you when school starts.]

[Lucy: I'm on vacation too, but we're skiing, and it's no fun at all. I'm so bored stuck in this cabin! Isabella, let's video chat tonight! You can see the northern lights from here, it's gorgeous. @Isabella]

[Anna: What? You all went on trips? Am I the only one who didn't go anywhere this whole break? Isabella, my brother's high school team has a tennis match the day after tomorrow. Do you want to go with me? St. Marwen High and the middle school are on the same main campus. After the match, I can have my brother show us around the school.]

Before, these same girls had been passive-aggressive, excluding her from their chats about food and life. Now, all it took was one blurry photo of a man's back to make these normally proud and haughty young ladies come crawling back to her.

At that moment, Isabella gained a much more concrete understanding of the power wielded by Caspian and the Ravenshire family.

She put on a show of modesty, graciously accepting everyone's friendly gestures and chatting in the group for a few minutes. By the time she exited the chat, the new student group had 99+ new messages. Isabella clicked on it and saw that nearly all of them were tagging her. Her friend requests in the background were also non-stop. The flattery and attention gave her an unprecedented rush of satisfaction.

[Nolan Sterne: Are you there? You mentioned before that your English was a little weak. I've gathered some study materials for you. When are you free? I can drop them off.]

Isabella paused. Wasn't Nolan Sterne always cold and aloof? Why was he suddenly trying to get on her good side?

She had admittedly found him attractive before—he was handsome and the class president—but ever since she'd met Cyril, she understood the difference between a common stone and a true gem. How could a firefly's glow compare to the brilliance of the sun and moon?

Isabella swiped past the message and ignored it completely.

Cedric acted as if he hadn't heard the mockery in Julian's tone. "Mr. Julian, the master has already formally acknowledged Miss Lexton. Therefore, she is no longer considered an outsider."

Julian gave a lazy smile, shot a meaningful glance at Cyril, and wisely decided not to press the issue.

At that moment, Isabella was still basking in the glow of endless compliments, completely unaware of their approach. After happily reading through the messages, she opened her beauty cam app again and started striking various cute poses against the backdrop of the courtyard.

Pouting lips, cute winks, doe eyes—just as she was becoming completely captivated by her own beauty, a harsh sneer cut through the air.

"Well, look what we have here. An attention-seeker."
