Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 140

No matter how big the incident at Alderwick was, the day eventually came to an end.

Fifteen hours later.

Stormhollow Medical Center, third-floor VIP ward.

The metal elevator doors slid open. Benedict stepped out first and, seeing the person behind him hadn't followed, immediately turned back and gestured. "Lia."

The girl was wearing a plaid dress, her hair in a high ponytail with straight bangs. A pair of old-fashioned black-framed glasses sat on her delicate face.

Seeing her hesitate, Benedict was both amused and confused. "Weren't you the one who wanted to come see Bianca and Vivienne? Why are you getting cold feet now?"

Aurelia Ravenshire looked down at the book in her arms and shook her head. "Maybe it's better not to. I'll come back in a few days."

Bianca never liked her. Every time they met, it ended unpleasantly. It was probably best not to disturb her while she was resting.

Benedict didn't understand the friction between young girls. He scratched his head. "We're going back to the Obsidian Estate in a few days. Just see them today. It's no big deal."

Aurelia was still reluctant.

Suddenly, Benedict had an idea. He pointed toward the ward. "Haven't you always wanted to see Alaric? Well, he's here too. You can see him while you're at it."

Aurelia's eyes lit up with surprise and joy. "Alaric is back?"

Benedict nodded. "He is. Your grandfather stayed here all night, and Alaric came this morning to bring some food."

Aurelia considered for a moment, then stepped out of the elevator.

"Mr. Benedict." A line of bodyguards in black suits stood in the reception area. The man in the lead immediately approached Benedict.

The third floor had only three patient rooms, all booked by the Ravenshire family, with a lounge in the middle for family members to rest. Because Caspian had stayed at the hospital overnight, Benedict had called in half of the Shadow Guild's forces in Evershade City to guard the floor.

"Alaric, I heard that when Bianca got into trouble, you ordered everyone to leave first."

Evelyn and Leander, who had been cheerfully trying to get close to Alaric, froze at the question. Leander, in particular, took off his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose.

Alaric looked up, meeting Julian's provocative gaze, his expression neutral. "I did. Is there a problem?"

Julian caught the falling coin and shrugged indifferently. "Hmm, don't ask me. You should go ask Bianca if she has a problem with it, after being abandoned, nearly drowning, and almost shot."

The coolness in Alaric's eyes deepened.

Julian wasn't afraid of him. He tilted his head and smiled. "Then again, that fool probably wouldn't have a problem, right? After all, when the crown prince of the Ravenshire family speaks, no one dares to have a problem."

The air was thick with tension. Leander looked at Alaric, then slammed his hand on the table and stood up, pointing at Julian. "Julian…"

Before he could finish, Julian kicked the coffee table, his tone lazy but fierce. "Leander, keep that finger in my face and see what happens."
