Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 150

A dark glint flickered in Vivienne’s eyes, but she calmly looked up.

Her gaze was placid, just like it had been that day at Vellmont Lodge when they had their falling out.

Serena was taken aback. She had assumed Vivienne was just being emotional back then and would get over it in time, which was why she had deliberately given her the cold shoulder for two months. But today, Serena suddenly realized she might have been wrong from the very beginning.

“Vivienne.” She deliberately softened her voice and slowly approached. “Are you still mad at Mom?”

Vivienne nodded. “Yes.”

She didn’t want to be cruel. If her path forward was destined to be full of trials, the one demon she least wanted to face was Serena.

Serena froze, her eyes dimming. “I know a lot of what I did before hurt you, but Vivienne, I was only pushing you so that our family could stay together forever. But during this time, I’ve had a chance to think. Nothing is more important than your happiness. I won’t pressure you anymore.”

Vivienne quietly watched Serena’s performance, showing no intention of participating.

Serena’s eyes grew red, and her voice choked with emotion. “I’ve already spoken to the old man. After you celebrate your fourteenth birthday, I’ll take your sister and go back to Vindrell City.”

Vivienne’s eyebrows raised slightly, her face a mask of confusion. “If you’re going to leave, why not just leave now? Why wait for my fourteenth birthday?”

Serena had planned to follow up her speech with a dramatic crying scene, but Vivienne’s question left her stunned. “Vivienne, I’m your mother! What on earth have I done to make you hate me so much?”

What had she done?

Vivienne thought about it seriously, then answered with four words, “Too much to list.”

She was speechless.

Alaric’s expression remained steady. “I meant the turtle.”

Knowing he couldn’t fool him any longer, Wesley carefully took out Little Stray. “Sir, what if we just tell Miss Lexton her turtle died? I can buy her a new one, how about that?”

Alaric pretended not to hear, took Little Stray, and turned toward room two.

Wesley knew his boss wasn’t going to help him. He silently stuffed the dried fish back into his pocket.

The door to room two was ajar. As Alaric reached the doorway, he was about to knock when he heard a thin, trembling sob from inside.

Isabella clutched the thermos, looking both frightened and wronged. “Sister, it’s all my fault. Please don’t be mad at Mom, and don’t talk to her like that. We’ve all been so miserable these past few months since you stopped talking to us. Look, as soon as Mom heard you were hurt, she made that Vindrell-style broth you love so much.”

Serena, suppressing her anger, shot Isabella a meaningful look.
