Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 163

The mere thought of that “special kind of torture” made Julian shudder.

He had no idea what was wrong with the old man, coming up with such a malicious way to torment them. Wasn’t he afraid of doing permanent damage to his precious grandson and ending the Ravenshire family line?

“Julian.”

Just then, a friend of his rushed into the classroom, winking at him. “Your girl is here to see you.”

His girl?

Julian looked toward the classroom entrance. A few girls were standing outside the door. When the girl in the middle saw him looking, her expression turned shy, and she gave him a flirtatious look.

He was speechless.

Lucas glanced over and sighed dramatically. “Elara Reed is already tracking you down. She’s keeping a tight leash.”

Seeing Julian’s complete lack of reaction, the friend looked confused. “Hey, what are you waiting for, big shot? Go on.”

Julian frowned. “Who is she?”

“Huh?” Lucas turned to study Julian seriously. After confirming he wasn’t joking, he feigned outrage. “You player!”

Julian shot him a sideways glance. “Cut the crap. I’m asking you, who is she?”

Lucas was so exasperated he laughed. “She’s your girlfriend! Who do you think she is?”

“What?” Now it was Julian’s turn to look at Lucas with a grave expression. After confirming *he* wasn’t joking, Julian felt a laugh of his own bubble up in exasperation.

He remembered now. He had gotten bored over the summer and found a girlfriend to pass the time. Then he found that even more boring and let it fizzle out.

He was speechless again.

Julian suddenly felt a pang of guilt. He glanced over at Alaric and Cyril. Thankfully, one was busy handing out invitations and the other was absorbed in a book, neither paying him any attention.

This was bad. He had to end this messy entanglement quickly. If those two idiots found out, they would definitely tell his grandfather, and then he would be done for.

Julian cleared his throat and slowly stood up.

Weren’t the Ravenshires supposed to be united?

“Alaric, you’re not going to be that stingy, are you?” Harrison Montclair chimed in, egging Bernard on.

Alaric’s gaze was indifferent as he casually pulled out an invitation and held it out.

Bernard froze, clearly not expecting Alaric to give it to him so easily.

Alaric’s expression was cool. “I’m offering the invitation. The real question is, do you have the nerve to show up?”

Bernard’s face instantly turned livid. He was speechless.

He didn’t dare accept it.

Alaric might have the guts to defy his grandfather and hand an invitation to a sworn enemy, but Bernard didn’t have the nerve to defy his own grandfather and set foot in the Ravenshire estate.

But to refuse an invitation handed to him would make it look like the Whitmores were afraid of the Ravenshires, and that he, Bernard, was afraid of Alaric.
