Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 188

KO!

"You!" Mina, who had never lost a verbal sparring match in her life, went dead pale with fury.

"Blah, blah, blah, I don't argue with idiots!" Bianca slapped her own backside mockingly, pulled open her car door, and dove inside.

Sophia watched the car speed off, her expression highly thoughtful.

"When did Bianca get so dangerously articulate? Didn't she usually just start throwing punches?"

Mina was in no mood to analyze Bianca's character growth. She glared at Sophia defensively. "Don't tell me you're actually letting her get in your head?"

Sophia let out a dry laugh. "Of course not."

Mina instantly exhaled, though she still looked incredibly awkward. "Bianca is a vicious psycho. Do not listen to a word she says. I would never... I would never betray my friends. Never."

Inside the stretch limousine, the atmosphere was agonizingly silent.

Vivienne was entirely focused on her phone, while Alaric rested his chin on his hand, staring blankly out the window. Nothing was technically wrong, yet the tension between them felt like two bitter enemies forced into a tiny room.

Wesley monitored them nervously through the rearview mirror. Seeing that Vivienne wasn't actively trying to torture his boss, he let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Wait. No.

Was his boss actually trying to start a conversation?

Light glinted off Wesley's sunglasses as he watched intently.

Alaric's hand, resting on his knee, silently slid into his school jacket pocket. His long fingers brushed against a silver locket. A faint ripple of emotion crossed his usually detached eyes.

He had purposely not opened his book when he got in the car, waiting for Vivienne to start her usual relentless chattering so he could casually give the locket back. He hadn't expected her to completely ice him out.

Silence stretched for another few agonizing seconds.

Alaric turned his head slightly toward her. "You..."

"I'm busy. Do not speak to me."

Vivienne cut him off ruthlessly, her eyes never leaving her phone screen.

Wesley's heart bled for his boss. He glared furiously at Vivienne through his shades. His boss had finally gathered the courage to initiate a conversation, and she shut him down like that? If she permanently damaged his boss's ability to communicate with women, could she bear the responsibility?

Vivienne thought for a moment, the tips of her ears suddenly burning red. Her fingers trembled slightly as she typed the next message...

[LeaveMeBe: Don't be a coward, it's not that hard. She's new to having money, she wants to try everything. Use those 'professional skills' of yours. Seduce her so badly she loses her mind and has to answer the phone right in front of you. Taking the records after that will be easy.]

Ding!

[The recipient has accepted your transfer.]

Vivienne let out a long breath and rubbed her burning ears. Seriously, where could Serena Lowe find a daughter as devoted as her? After everything Serena had done, Vivienne was still spending top dollar to fund her mother's boy toy.

However...

Her bank account was now completely empty.

After a few seconds of silence, Vivienne slowly turned her head and batted her eyelashes at Alaric.

"So... since I got in the car, I haven't said a single annoying word. Can I get that thirty thousand dollar transfer now?"

Alaric stared at her.
