Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 189

"Princess, please get out."

Once was novel, twice was a habit, and by the third time, it was pure muscle memory. The moment the limo parked, Wesley was out the door and holding it open with flawless execution.

Vivienne stared at the fresh thirty thousand dollars sitting in her bank account, grinning so hard her cheeks hurt. In a rare display of actual good mood, she waved cheerfully at Alaric. "Bye, Alaric!"

Alaric remained expressionless.

"Vroom!"

A deafening roar of an engine shattered the peaceful afternoon. A sleek, midnight-black Bugatti Veyron drifted to a harsh stop, barely an inch from the limousine's rear bumper. Julian stepped out, a mocking smirk plastered across his face.

"Well, well! Look at you, Alaric. Playing the perfect little nanny today!"

Vivienne stared at Julian's multi-million dollar supercar for three seconds, and her eyes instantly lit up like fireworks.

Right! How could she have forgotten about this walking ATM? In her past life, Julian was by far the richest of all the Ravenshires. He was famously generous with the women around him; the spare change that slipped through his fingers could fund an average family for decades.

Julian was fully prepared to kick Alaric while he was down, but when he caught the predatory gleam in Vivienne's eyes, his own eyes narrowed. He immediately went on the defensive. "Brat, what the hell is that look?"

Vivienne beamed sweetly. "Nothing. I just suddenly realized how incredibly charming you are."

A sudden, inexplicable chill ran down Julian's spine. He took a subtle step back. "First of all, I have absolutely zero interest in underdeveloped children. Second, even if we aren't blood-related, it's still weird. So don't even think about it."

Vivienne's smile vanished instantly. "Psycho! Keep dreaming!"

Rolling her eyes at the arrogant peacock, she hiked her pink backpack up her shoulder and marched straight into Obsidian Estate.

Julian was left standing there, utterly bewildered. He turned to Alaric. "Who the hell was she telling to keep dreaming?"

Alaric had originally planned to ignore him completely, but something made him pause. He looked at Julian with glacial calm. "Did Grandpa's trial break your brain?"

"Excuse me?"

It was a complete accident that she had discovered this. She had unparalleled talent in painting, possessing both perfect color pitch and a masterful grasp of composition and structure.

Satisfied with her work, Vivienne packed up her supplies. Just as she stood up, she spotted a tall, slender figure walking slowly down the opposite corridor.

The boy moved quietly, bathed in the pure white moonlight.

Cyril Ravenshire?

He was still carrying his backpack, meaning he had only just gotten home.

The gentle moonlight settled softly on the boy's shoulders. With the wide pond separating them, he hadn't noticed Vivienne packing up in the shadows on the other side. He kept his head down, walking straight toward Blackbriar Wing.

Vivienne didn't bother calling out to him. She slung her easel over her shoulder, scooped up Little Stray, and turned to walk down the adjacent corridor.

Just as Cyril placed one foot into the entrance of Blackbriar Wing, he froze. Slowly, he turned his head, his gaze piercing through the dancing shadows to watch her walk away.
