Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 237

Though it was just a brief message, Frederick Whitmore's panic and urgency bled through every word.

Cyril Ravenshire's eyes narrowed, his expression growing cautious.

The contents of the two messages clearly contradicted each other. One claimed the data's whereabouts were unknown, while the other insisted the information had already been leaked.

Did these people contacting Mr. Lane not know each other's identities?

Or perhaps they simply did not communicate offline?

The more Cyril thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. After a moment of consideration, he forwarded the intercepted message and immediately locked onto another new IP address.

He was genuinely curious. Who exactly had the audacity and the power to send an assassin straight into the academy in broad daylight?

Silvercrest Hall.

Julian Ravenshire stumbled as he stepped into the courtyard, but the drunken haze in his eyes cleared the very next second.

Heath Corbin reached out to support him, but Julian swatted his hand away. Heath sighed in resignation. "Julian, could you at least go inside first?"

Julian turned and walked into the Main Hall, lazily collapsing onto the sofa. He thought for a moment before pulling out his phone and dialing a number.

"It's me. Keep a close eye on those Montclair family stocks from last month. Buy up whatever you can get your hands on!"

The person on the other end said something, and Julian's face darkened with annoyance. "Stop giving me crap. I'm reading the market myself. Win or lose, it's on me."

"Experts? Those experts don't know a damn thing!"

"Short on funds? If I'm short, I'm short. Just watch the market. I have plenty of money."

By the time Heath walked into the Main Hall with a glass of hangover tea, Julian was still cursing into the phone.

"Julian, please drink some of this to sober up."
