Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 274

Vivienne paused for a second. In total silence, she reached for a cherry-flavored slice instead.

Julian arched an eyebrow, rested his chin in one hand, and carelessly swiped the plate off the table with the other. *Smash.* The cherry cake was instantly obliterated.

Vivienne didn't even blink. Displaying the emotional stability of a saint, she swapped to a vanilla slice. Julian immediately knocked the vanilla cake to the ground too.

The exact millisecond the plate shattered, Vivienne raised her hand and brought her silver spoon cracking down onto Julian's forehead.

"For seven hundred thousand dollars, I can only tolerate three ruined cakes."

"..."

Julian froze. For a full thirty seconds, his brain completely short-circuited. When he finally snapped back to reality, his expression was a tangled mess of confusion and disbelief.

"Are you actually this dense, or are you just playing dumb?"

Vivienne tilted her head. "What?"

Julian scowled. "Couldn't you tell I was in a terrible mood?"

Vivienne kept her face completely neutral. "I could. That's exactly why I ignored you. What if you decided to use me as a punching bag?"

"..." Julian let out a dark, incredulous laugh. She literally just hit him in the head with a spoon, but she was scared of being his punching bag?

Suddenly hyper-aware of the throbbing welt forming on his forehead, Julian rubbed the spot and grabbed a coconut cake, placing it gently on a new saucer in front of her.

"So, how's the game plan coming along?"

Vivienne raised an eyebrow, eyeing him suspiciously. "I've been wondering about that since this afternoon. Why do you keep pushing me to ruin the event? What exactly is your angle here?"

Julian pulled out a sleek black credit card and tossed it onto the table. "Help me completely crash this banquet tonight. Once the job is done, I'll double whatever is on this card."

"Crash it?" Vivienne dropped her silver spoon and crossed her arms, fixing him with a steady, calculating gaze. "I think you have completely misunderstood me. What makes you think I'd agree to something like this? Grandpa poured a massive amount of effort into this banquet. If things go south, it's the Ravenshire family's reputation on the line. I refuse to take dirty money."

Julian hadn't expected her to have such a rigid moral spine. He looked mildly surprised. "I can pay more."
