Vivienne felt the same way about this tag as she did about her [Lunatic] tag—it was completely absurd.

A public corridor led straight from the parking lot. The year before last, the school had planted wisteria to beautify the campus. Now, the corridor was draped in cascading purple flowers, making it look like the entrance to a fairy tale kingdom.

Alaric walked under the wisteria. Noticing Vivienne hadn't kept up, he deliberately slowed his pace. When he heard footsteps approaching, he stopped entirely.

In that brief moment, Vivienne skipped right past him.

"Hurry up, Alaric. Stop dragging your feet."

Alaric fell silent.

The high school division consisted of two main buildings. The Elite Talent Building featured nineteenth-century English architecture, while the Talent & Virtue Building sported a modern European design. The two structures stood opposite each other, sharing The Central Garden in the middle.

Today was the freshman orientation. Both buildings were lavishly decorated with flowers, brimming with a sense of ceremony.

Following the signs, Vivienne quickly found her classroom and located her seat on the seating chart.

Since there weren't many students in the room yet, she glanced around and began organizing her backpack.

Alaric followed her inside.

Vivienne gave him a casual side-eye. "Can I help you?"

He nodded, his tone conversational. "The opening ceremony is being held in the auditorium today. Several high priests from the Church of Heavenly Grace will be there, and the school invited a few mainstream media journalists."
