Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 33

As the voice faded, a woman stormed into the main hall.

Dorian frowned slightly and warned in a cold voice, “Don’t be insolent in front of Father.”

The woman was Victoria, Dorian’s wife and the mastermind behind the Merriton City arson case.

She seemed not to hear her husband’s warning, her expression cold as she rushed forward, snatched the tray of hot tea from Cedric, and flung it at Cyril’s head.

“You bastard! As long as I’m here, you can forget about ever setting foot in the Ravenshire home.”

“Ah!”

The hot tea splashed all over Cyril’s face. He didn’t react, but Evelyn, standing beside him, was scalded on the leg by a stray splash and let out a sharp cry.

Leander glanced at Caspian first before getting up to grab the teacup from Victoria’s hand. “Victoria, calm down.”

The third branch of the family also looked to Caspian for his reaction. Seeing the old man’s expressionless face, they knew things had escalated and quickly got up, pretending to restrain Victoria.

Benedict was strong and didn’t hold back, yanking Victoria so hard she nearly fell. “That’s right, Victoria, what are you doing? Father is sitting right here. Who are you trying to humiliate?”

Victoria was in a frenzy, deaf to everyone’s words. “Fine! Is this how the Ravenshire family bullies people? You kick my son out, and now you let a bastard in! Who are you trying to shame? Let go of me! If I don’t get an explanation today, I’ll take you all down with me.”

Dorian’s brow twitched, his hands trembling with anger.

Vivienne, holding her pastries, carefully studied everyone in the room, trying to find a clue in their movements and expressions, but she found nothing.

She then turned to observe Cyril. Since the tea was thrown at him, he had kept his head down, motionless. His ears were a raw, angry red, looking as though they might blister at any second. Hot tea coursed down the bridge of his nose, dripping rhythmically onto the floor—a silent testament to his humiliation.

Dorian could no longer play dumb. He stepped forward, dropped to one knee before Caspian, his head bowed in shame.

“Father, it’s my failure. Please, don’t be angry.”

Victoria’s expression changed. In public, Dorian was a Member of Parliament who didn't even bow to the President. She was still somewhat intimidated by him and finally regained some sense. Her eyes red, she looked cautiously at Caspian. “Father, I… Sob…”

Caspian raised a hand to stop her, then turned to Cedric. “Cedric, the children are frightened. Take them to the side parlor. Also, have Dr. Cole come take a look at Cyril.”

“Yes, sir.” Cedric nodded and moved to help Cyril up. “Mr. Cyril.”

As Cedric helped him to his feet, Cyril swayed but managed to steady himself. He never once lifted his head or said a word in his own defense. His quiet compliance stood in stark contrast to Victoria’s intolerant frenzy.
