Chaos Girl Rewrites the Script novel Chapter 34

Seeing this, Victoria grew angrier and looked ready to lunge again, but Dorian, though his head was still bowed, seemed to have eyes in the back of his head and grabbed her arm.

Vivienne was enjoying the show when she was suddenly asked to leave. With some regret, she put down her pastry.

She remembered the script playing out this way last time, too. Because of Victoria’s outburst, the old man had sent the children of Obsidian Estate to the side parlor.

Before they left, Serena had specifically warned her not to get too close to Cyril. The Lexton children were already living on someone else's charity; if they associated with an illegitimate son, people would look down on them even more.

Vivienne had taken Serena’s warning to heart and had always treated Cyril with disdain and contempt.

Suddenly, it dawned on her. Vivienne turned to look at Isabella. Unlike her, Isabella’s eyes were full of kindness and sympathy for Cyril. A playful smile touched Vivienne’s lips. Love for a man often starts with pity. It seemed her guess was correct: the tasks Serena had given her and Isabella were completely different.

At that moment, Serena couldn’t spare a thought for Vivienne. As an outsider, she should have excused herself from such a family matter, but she didn’t dare move without Caspian’s permission. The Ravenshires were not to be trifled with, and she knew that hearing too much would only earn her their resentment. She was on pins and needles.

After Cedric led the children out, the housekeepers and guards in the parlor also withdrew. The doors were closed from the outside, and the sharp click of the lock made everyone’s heart jump. No one dared to speak as they returned to their seats.

Caspian rested his hands on the head of his cane, his thumbs slowly rubbing the polished wood. “Victoria, there are no outsiders here. Say what you said again.”

Victoria’s heart skipped a beat. She fell to her knees, crying and pleading, “Father, I was just overwrought and said some things I shouldn’t have. I…”

Caspian raised a hand, his gaze shifting to Dorian. “Dorian, you speak.”

Dorian’s face paled, his expression somber. “Father, I’ve made up my mind. I’ll hold a press conference tomorrow and give Cyril and the public a proper explanation.”

But in the Ravenshire family, no one dared to question Caspian’s decisions. Since it was settled, the matter was final.

Caspian stood up, his gaze sweeping over everyone. “You’re all a bunch of troublemakers, not a single good brain among you.”

Accustomed to his scolding, they all lowered their heads in silence.

Caspian continued, “Since you’ve all made the trip back, you’ll stay for dinner. I’ve had the kitchen prepare soup. You all need it.”

No one said a word.
